360 External mirror cap removal?

    Does anybody have an easy way to remove the 360 external mirror covers?

    I'd like to refurbish mine since it looks like in the pic. New ones appear to be around $180+ per side.

    Also if anybody has done it and has instructions on what finish and paint to use it'd be greatly appreciated as well.

    I believe you have to remove door card as first step. Bit of a PITA job really...
    Lots of ”How to” on here if you google a bit.
