I remember this video. It was the reason I wanted a 355 with BBS LMs haha I didn't realize at that time how uncommon white 355s were either.
I believe he’s the only one with 19 inch BBS LM’s on a 355. They dont make 355 lug pattern for their 19’s. He made it work with a wobble bolt. Most BBS LMs you see on 355s are 18’s and because of the step lip design, the center mesh/spokes are really 17’s.
Agreed. Nice to see someone making a bold offer out of the gate. He got rid of all the bottom fishers in one fell swoop.
Because there’s at least 2 more people that really want a gated non yellow GTS. Reserve met at $135k.
$180k Red/Tan Berlinetta sold at $160k ?? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1996-Ferrari-355-F355-BERLINETTA/174660777549?hash=item28aa97f64d:g:rbcAAOSwG-VgVgSY
Sold for $151k USD + $5k BaT fee $156,000 USD 1996 GTS with 23k miles Black/Black (Modified interior with Alcantara)
I was rooting for Outrun1986. His high bid was $150k, which I feel is a pretty strong bid. Unfortunate he did not go home with this. If you look at his past comment on a 355 dating back to August 2020, you can see how much his sentiment has changed in regards to how much he’s willing to pay for a 355. This goes back to a point I made pages back regarding how much the financial world has changed following Fed injection late summer. Fall 2020 onward is a whole new world for asset valuation. If you’re still trying to make sense of dots you circled on a graph for the past 5 years, you’re wasting your time. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Still plenty of time to get into a 458 if one wishes to. Getting a 355 in the exact spec you want is another matter. He bid $150k on a triple black GTS after years of searching for a triple black Berlinetta. What more needs to be said .
what is the 3rd black in gts/berlinetta- Carpets? If this is 150, what does a low mileage 95, blue gts go for?
I’m assuming upper dash/lower dash black is the double. Black exterior is the triple. Not sure if carpets count. Never seen tan carpets in a black interior, Although I have seen red. I believe nice blue manual coupes are in high demand. Probably more so than red depending on which shade of blue I guess. Only one way to find out . I still believe we see fireworks in the summer ($150-200k) so I would hold.
What was I saying about good Ferraris coming to CA and never leaving ?? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Been putting my car back together. $151,00 + fees. Not bad, but still below the Sept 2020 high water mark of $161,000 + fees. So, $161,000 red/tan GTS 9/2020, $127,000 Yellow/ black GTS 2/2021, and $151,000 Black/black Berlinetta 3/2021, and the ebay car at $159.800 3/2021. I'm sticking with being at a market top. But not bad for a $60k car.
$60k scrap value maybe? Lol Drivetrain alone is worth over $30k! I think Red > Black > Yellow all makes sense given their desirability ranking.
Surely John you can't argue against supply and demand principles? Are you expecting a flood of cars to hit the market now?
Hey, I got my car 8 years ago. I'm happy. It's all just good fun. Can't take this too seriously. Nice to see some of the "younger" guys stepping up and buying.
There is an abundance of cars in Europe. 41 coupes on Mobile . de (23 manual). 17 are under 80k euros (10 manual). 5 of those are under 70k (2 manual).
