148, not 146, but let's wait for more tests. Looking forward for your own tests of course.

CH likes to cause a steer. I cannot even remember when I last agreed with his assessment....

Depends on the beer. Some ales are served lukewarm. ;)
PS: Just saw that I wrote "steer", instead of "stir"...

Today I am very happy with my 812SF and F8. Yet i feel no compulsion to talk about them on this thread.

Contemplating the SF90 or perhaps LB, but don’t want the first round of hybrid so will wait till some have some miles first.

Keep wanting to hear more about the LB and don’t really care about gripes about the SF and could care less about Macs in this context.

First rounds of hybrid was 2013 with laf, P1, 918, They worked well, never had in issue, just the small batterie capacity and warrenty of batterie is an issue of certain brands.

Maybe then you just disregarde the gripes about Sf, Mc,918 etc, it will for sure coming up again.

If you visit a F dealer garage they will share the horror stories of the Laff.
918 owners I know have not had similar issues.
I dont have P1 expereince to compare.

I will be very curious to see what kind or warrantee is placed on the battery. Gotta be at least 7 years plus inline with the Koreans

Good to hear. My understanding was that most LaFerrari are rarely driven. So I still consider these first gen of regular production. Ferrari are not well known for great electronics.

After, 812VS is due for public reveal in one month (prospective buyers have already been privately communicated by the factory with some details and images), LB after...

like any other future E-car with a big battery, Mclaren included (do it with a carbon frame and you spare about 100-150kilos to barely hit 1850 instead of 2000. So, what changes?). Deal with it (o, come direbbero a Roma: stacce!).

Hope Ferrari has really thought this one out well. Looks like the Mac is leading the way ?

My understanding is Ferrari have a new Engine guy he is meant to be a real genius.
The question is did he come on board before this project’s engine reached the point of no return.

Its not really fair to compare something in development as we do not have all the facts.

The saying goes “You don’t know what you don’t know”. There is always (98%)
a valid reason why something was or was not done. Just like the Carbon vs Aluminium classis.

Many things are simply personal. When we compare cars. I am a Kiwi, so I understand Mac and its F1 soul.
But from a road car point of view, I find them soulless.

I say forget the compare when its in development and instead try to understand what they are doing and why.
Then we can see who's right when all the cards are shown

Before we start lauding them with credit. McLaren didn’t build or develop the engine, Ricardo did. They provide effectively a white label service for all of McLaren’s engines, who stick a badge on it. They leave this bit out of their press releases of course.

According to our Maranello source on here it should be a 120 deg V-6, like Ferrari first did in F1 in 1961 and then in turbo form in 1981 and in a hot V configuration.

Note also that AM showed a very similar engine last year, supposedly for one of their new mid-engined car.

Hopefully, they get some of the sound out of the motors with the Hot V, like MBZ does with the AMG V8's.

This Aston Martin engine was a pure marketing lie. Who could have believed that they were able to actually develop it?

I believed that they lopped two cylinders off of the Mercedes-AMG M177 engine, which is a 4.0 liter V8. This creates a 3.0 engine. Aston Martin hasn’t released the degree of the V6, but I suspect it is the same or close to the 4.0 V8. It’s quite a coincidence that they are using the M177 engine which is a hot Vee set up, and then have a “in house” developed V6 that is a hot Vee set up.
Also, apparently they are having problems with the engine, and may use the M177 V8 in the Valhalla. This would give them time to work out the problems in the V6 for the mid engine Vanquish that will compete with Ferrari’s V6 offering. So, it might look like the Valhalla maybe analogous to the SF90—both using a TT V8 (Valhalla using the M177). Both being hybrid, both being AWD. The Valhalla will be more track focused and also limited production.
