Get in shape and you can do it while the car is parked on the ground. Done it...but usually back it up onto ramps and take it off the easy way. Y'all with F1's might be wary of that process, backing up onto a grade seems to put extra wear on the clutch. Manual allows you to control it a bit more.

Here is how I do it without a lift.

    1. Drive car onto 3/4" board on one side.
    2. Undo all of the bolts. I have long arms so I can do it with the car on the ground.
    3. Undo half of the middle tray.
    4. Slide the back tray forward so it clears the beam across the back.
    5. Pound another beer and curse myself for not getting a lift.
    6. Slide the tray back with the front of it to the side. If you have issues just remove the rest of the middle tray. It should now be completely on the ground.
    7. Pound another beer because here is the tricky part. The board underneath one of the wheels should give enough clearance for the tray to clear the undercarriage. Jack up the otherside at the jack point and rotate the tray towards the side with the jack out the side of the car. IIRC you need to alternate between jacking the car and lowering it while sliding the tray out so that it can clear the jack.

After spending lots of time removing the undertray for oil changes I noticed two large grommets. Guess what they were for .

I use a floor jack with a hockey puck in the round recess to raise one side, then slide a car ramp under one rear tire. I put the ramp backwards so I can get the tray out. Then I do the other side the same way.

I use 2 low profile alum floor jacks to lift both back sides almost simultaneously.
    Then the fronts.

What are the dimensions of those ramps? Did you use 2x8 or plywood? Any support in the center of them?

Yes, that's a good economical solution. Unfortunately, car ramps are usually only about 6"-6 1/2" tall. Good enough for a quick visit underneath, but not if you're spending some time under there.

    I think the rhinos are 8 - 8.5 iirc ..

I do like your build .. i did something for my mid rise lift where put budded up 2 @ 2x8x10 on each side to elevate car enough to clear arms
The mid rise lift works fantastic for the 512TR

What size wood and dimensions did you use exactly

I bet they're good for an upper body workout too. Those would be some heavy ramps.

I use Race Ramps 10" wheel cribs. They make removal of the undertray easy.

I just bolt 2 of them together and i have a 16 inch wide platform. Jack car up on a couple trolley jacks and slide them under the wheels. If u want it higher then double up- works pretty well for me

    No plywood. Not safe
    2' x 10"s and 1 box of 8 x 3" Deck Screws
    Power Driver
    1/2 hr to assemble

    Cuts were 20 x 21" and 8 x 10" for the sides
21" width allows the wheel to sit just perfect at 8" above floor level
2 low profile floor jacks with the power stroke allowed for easy lifting of both sides almost simultaneously and safely

Thanks but it wasn't my orig idea.
I believe I first saw the suggestion by Black360 (I believe). I just modified it to suit me.

My set up is similar to his... must be a Canuck thing. I have thought about the double jack method, but I have only one jack..... same exact model though. I made wood blocks and also have plastic ramps. Usually put the plastic ramps under the front wheels backwards and the blocks under the rear wheels.

Also, I have Rennstands, which allow me to raise the car by the jack points with the top section of the stand attached.

To put the tray back on, I support it with 2 conventional jack stands.... once 3 or so bolts are in it is easy.

Just a note, made my blocks using 2 cut sections of 8” x 8” posts attached side by side.
