Steve was a true Gentleman, I did a number of trips with him, a top bloke & his passing was very sad.
I went with Scott to visit him just before he passed away. Made us a lovely lunch. Had a great time. He was gone soon after.
Well picked up a cold at the pool a few days ago,now my Asthma has kicked in , gunna be a long long night come morning . Lucky fight night is not tomorrow.
Been guggling through the night .. Going to my sisters tomorrow for lunch ,she'll kick me out if I start coughing ..
I'd forgotten about this thread ,I think my spelling and grammar have improved ? Perhaps not ! Seems so long ago, and it is . I had my annual checkup a month ago, all good. I asked the question .."could it come back? The reply was 'Doubtful" "if it was to have it would have been in the 1st five years" I still don't get why they don't tell patients ...what the future might be?
So I retired at 50 years ...thinking get away from the stress of business and enjoy life , my only regret was selling my Flying Spur , not for its increase in value but the ideal rally car , the BB never thought anymore about it as i always said once John A retired I'd sell the BB anyway. As much as I like JA and his Ferrari ability ,I found his ways difficult at times . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You know I still don't know who you are , but often in the past read your posts on other forums? Like Ten tenths ?
I was well set up to retire and had a business I could continue to make useage of for income plus the commercial property I half own . I guess having no children and few expenses helped .
but you also enjoy your business/job? For me it was just a money making exercise and a platform to buy cars and other goods . After the drama of a partner destroying a business in 1999 for me it was also proving to myself and others I could build up an even better business....which it was .
