This replaces That around the drier Full functionality, 3 fewer sealing surfaces and 2 pressure sensor switches recalibrated for R-134a higher pressures with O-Ring seals at every port and junction. I strive to remove hose bends that disrupt refrigerant flow and add turbulence for straight line hoses that allow refrigerant to travel unimpeded through the system. The compressor has a 40% increase in CFM flow rate and the condensor has a 20% increase in heat exchange surfaces so that extra flow will be wisely used PS - I'm ready with all parts/tools to custom fit R-134a systems to Dinos and the first conversion candidate arrives in my garage July 15th for a Full stage 1 replacement. Stay tuned for a retrofit to R-134a thread. This should also help DIYs that want to evaluate if this is a task for them. Yes, Using York for the original exterior form factor identical to OEM. They have the patents from the old York compressor company. BUT, my tags say it is a 1972 Aspera Frigo unit .... and OEM mounted those tags in a very visible place for Concours Judges to see. First client "Full install" occurs in 2 weeks, I'll get to check hose lengths and fittings on a second Dino. These cars are hand built so I'm interested to see the variations in install and how it affects selling kits

Yes, if your client wants to re-use an old evaporator that will work also. You can modify an old evaporator by cutting the flare fitting off and brazing on a new R-134a fitting. Sounds like your customer is open to used parts. I have two used OEM evaporators from 1973, these are the prototypes and I no longer need them. Both are made from Copper. One with the original Flare fittings and one with flare fittings cut off then R-134a fittings brazed on. Both have rust on their side mounting plates, have not been flushed and have various fins bent/missing/soiled. Any interest in these? Look behind the brake boooster, you may already have the 3 hole dash vent attach plate. All Dinos that I have seen have 3 airflow vents under the dash with three tubes to attach the 80mm duct hose. It is the dash that only has two or three holes. Sorry, I have not even thought about individual parts pricing. I am a private party that wanted new and working A/C in Dino 05702 but got caught up having to buy tooling and pay to have parts made in a production run. You may want to wait.... In December I am scheduling fabrication time for my new evaporator housing to pair with the new evaporator. It will fit in the OEM location exactly but will have a new fan on tyhe supply side with a max output of 400CFM to force air across the evaporator and is driven by 3 speed individual relays with auto re-setting circuit breaker protection. The new supply fan is placed in concert with the OEM exhaust fan to solve four serious deficiencies in the OEM system: - Overcoming the static pressure of the evaporator - provides Fibonacci smooth scroll air delivery to full width of the evaporator face - Increases total airflow by 40% at all 5 outlets - removes three 90 degree bends in the ducting pathwork and their flow loss
