I believe that CAVALLINO is no longer available from newsstands. The new owners may possibly change this.

I recall getting an email several weeks ago declaring that the magazine would be available by subscription only. That policy might start with a future issue or it’s possible that they never implemented it. To be safe any regular reader might want to consider subscribing.

Edit: I just checked and I did receive an email on February 3 announcing that newsstand sales had been “suspended” but that individual copies could be purchased directly from Cavallino. Whether that policy has gone into effect, or ever will, is not known.

Who collects the Japanese Ferrari magazine "Scuderia"? The last issue I received was #129 (sometime in mid-2020).
Unfortunately the UK supplier/distributor seems to be no longer capable of doing this.
Does anybody know if there have been issues published after #129?
Where can this magazine be purchased nowadays?

    Thank you.

I am not sure who your UK supplier is/was, and I would guess you will already have looked here, but, if not, Hortons have this magazine. The latest one on their website is the same #129 that you already have though.

    Hortons it was.
However, since the disappearance of their main man, Andy Maassen (a super reliable person!), communication has become, should I say, "more demanding" or rather difficult.
Mails are not being answered and sometimes even bounce.
What is their current (working) email?

    Thank you.

Yes, I think issue 131 is the latest (front cover of a white F8 Spider and a man playing a saxophone!) but there are definitely issues 130 and 131.

Andy left Hortons in October last year, and certainly is a loss.
He is a great guy and has now set himself up in business with a friend.

I cannot praise Andy enough, I’d like to think I did enough business over the years with Hortons to call him a friend...

I think we are all to quick to criticise or leave a bad review of something but less swift to leave a good review, regardless of their trade.
I hope Ben continues his success with Horton’s and keeps unearthing little gems but keeps an eye on the changing demographic.

You don’t find many like Andy in business and I really hope this venture works for him.

Although I don’t do the typical on line “reviews” (either as a reader or a contributor) I do try to be mindful of giving a compliment or a referral, or both, when I have received service or a product that deserves it. Just the other night, in addition to a generous gratuity, I personally thanked a waitress for her attentive service. It was obvious that she genuinely appreciated it.

Yes, Andy Maassen is absolutely top, first class, super reliable, disciplined and trustworthy.
I wish him a lot of success in his new venture. I can recommend him highly.

Another new periodical is coming out of Great Britain, STRADA “a new magazine dedicated to the heroic cars of the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.” It’s associated with Eau Rouge Publishing, an automotive speciality publisher.

While it is not strictly about Ferrari, the premier issue (out April 1) features the 550 Maranello, so it’ll be a good start!

From the link "Plus: The latest products, watches, market insight and more…". Slightly off topic, I know, but can someone please explain to me why watches are apparently obligatory subjects for car magazines? I mean, I get that some car enthusiasts like watches. But some like boats or elephants or sausages and they don't generally have pages devoted to them in car magazines. Am I missing out by not picking up watch magazines because their pages are full of exciting articles on cars?

I think there’s a legitimate overlap in interests, but it isn’t necessarily reciprocal. That is, most watch magazines probably don’t have articles about cars.

Every car salesperson I've ever met worth their weight in salt has an expensive watch on their wrist, definitely a connection between the two.

There is, and always has been a huge connection between car guys & watches. Like it or not, it is a legitimate interest for the majority.

I too wish Andy Massen every success. He was always incredibly helpful at Hortons. It took a few days but I have been through everything he is offering on eBay and there are some real gems.

The start of this discussion was Scuderia magazine and I notice today that Hortons now have #130 listed online.
