Robert, I couldn't get the above link to work, on the brochure thread you mention, but I found it in search function, reposted here: Maranello Concessionaires Sales Brochures. | FerrariChat
The white press kit is, strangely, un-numbered. They are available in Italian, French, English and German and I would love to know how many of each there were.
I believe Ferrari only printed 600 of the white cover press kit (and 1,700 of the blue cover) I do have 2 of the white and 3 of the blue I'm ready sell. Please send PM if interested. I also have some other surplus F40 related literature.
hi Edward if you are still looking, a set is available at auction..... Silverstone Auctions | 2005-06 Ferrari 575 Superamerica Complete 4-Piece Schedoni Luggage Set
looks like the seller is Ryan from Classic Ferrari Parts, same photos from his website: 2005-06 Ferrari 575 Superamerica Complete 4-Piece Schedoni Luggage Set - Classic Ferrari Parts
The same auction has an F40 tool kit for sale, that is described as "Concours quality tool kit, presented in virtually unused original condition" with a "GUIDE PRICE: £10,000 - £12,000" Unfortunately there are a few problems: * it is missing the large black wheel nut. * it is missing the spark plugs in the blue bag. * it is missing the spare auxiliary belts with leather strap. * it has no blue bag for the wheel pins. * the wheel pins are also incorrect and different sizes. * the bulb & fuse tub is incorrect with the wrong contents. * it has the wrong ratchet (it would appear NOT to be the correct round head USAG ratchet with the red dot, looks more like a Kraftwerk Ratchet or an incorrect. USAG from a Mondial/348 tool kit). * the photos are not detailed enough with low resolution to confirm if the Michelin Vigil pressure gauge is the correct model. * the photos are not detailed enough to see if the ratchet accessories (UJ, Extension, plug socket) are the correct USAG brand. * the spanners only show the side with "CHROM VANIDIUM KRAVM" it would be nice to confirm they have "Ferrari" on the reverse side. * The whole set also appears rather grubby to be described as "Concours" and looks like it needs a good clean. The tow hook had been used and there is rust on the tips of the screwdrivers and the ball joints on the extension and UJ. Apart from that, its better than a lot I have seen Silverstone Auctions | 1987-92 Ferrari F40 Complete Tool Kit If anyone is looking for an actual "Concours" F40 tool kit, that is totally perfect, factory original, complete with nothing missing and is clean, please drop me a message. cheers Mark below is the auction offering, NOT a "Concours" kit...... hi , the pliers are totally wrong, as is the warning triangle & case, also the bulb tub is the wrong one, it should be green with a small shelf in it. spanners hard to say from photos, but I think they are correct - need to see the 15mm one to confirm. missing the emergency light and the window crank handle. belts, I would like to cross reference part numbers - suspect 308 like a few other bits. If anyone wants a concours and original 288GTO kit, which is 100% correct, the one pictured earlier in this thread, just drop me a line. thanks Mark
I will start doing it over winter, I have been so busy of late, that I have not had the chance - country move, house move, workshop rebuild, 4 kids, wife, too many cars, too many projects etc etc, not enough hours in the day I have all the photos and reference details on a file ready to go - thanks to all the work with Karim and his stunning collection of F50's I have a world class reference, a journey where the only acceptable level was absolute and complete perfection. Here is the finished object of desire, courtesy of Karim's majestic F50 - I will go through each element individually soon. cheers Mark Image Unavailable, Please Login
