When I took my tool kit out, I noticed the handle is worn from rubbing on the leather straps. Is this common? I was told it would be about $250 to $300 to repair it with new leather and $200 to repair the existing leather handle. Has anyone done this repair? What did you pay?

    Thanks,
    Cheers,
    Corey

    Sharpie time.

A new case is ~$480 so likely best idea is to sell the used one and buy a replacement. 244311

So with shipping $500, I guess I'll have it repaired for $200 as I don't think I'd get $300 for a damaged case. Plus I have a tendency to say I'll sell something and I never do. It's amazing I'm actually selling my Fabspeed exhaust as usually I'll justify selling it when I buy something new and then justify just storing it "just in case" instead of selling it.

Vinyl repair kit. Easy and the fake leather texture can be replicated.

I think I'm the only one that doesn't care about the tool kit or would ever use it. Don't even have one in my car

I've got one and it's in perfect condition (missing the silly flashlight). I could care less about it. Wouldn't have made a difference if my car didn't have one. The tools are poor quality and better could be found on the Harbor Freight discount rack.

My kit didn't have the "T handle" tool

Anyone got a close-up pic of it so I can buy.something to replace it?

As I understand it I need it to manually close the spider top in the event of hydraulic failure

If anyone wants to sell their tool, I'll buy it for a reasonable price.

    Thank you!

Same here. Took it out of the car the first day I got it.
Sat on a shelf in my storage until I sold.
The tools are crap and you’ll never use the ones supplied with the car anyway.

Well to be honest the only thing you may ever need in the kit is the tow hook. I think after I get mine fixed I’ll just keep that in the car and store my toolkit so that I have a “complete” car for when I sell, I have all the stuff it came with it when new including the roadside assistance card.

You will really only need it for a Concourse Event or for re-sale purposes.
