What width is that wheel? A 285 needs at least a 9/9.5 to be safe.

original wheels. I have 255/50/16 now and it so small.... I'm sure fitting is not a problem... largest I could find is 255 and that's undersize.

Front is 8x16, rear is 10x16....... By spec, they fit a 265/50/16 to the rear. I'd like something wider like a 285/50/16.

The book says 265/50 VR 16, NCTs I believe, but what actually came on the cars were the new Goodyear Gatorback tyres designed for the new Corvette. Ferrari used the 255/50 VR 16 Goodyear Gatorback (I'll have to look at my original ones in storage to see what they were really called).

Yes, the rear wheels are 10 inches in width.

I've seen 265/45 16 and 275/45 16 tyres made by a few firms, usually in DOT spec race tyres. Both will fit on the rims. Make sure you have clearance in the fender wells.

I just use the stock size in Toyo RA1 for the street and Hoosiers for track duty. That's plenty of tire. The problem with more tyre on the GTO is that you'll need to modify the suspension. The grip of the new tyres, particularly in bigger widths, will over do it.

The tyres are not your limiting factor on the track, the brakes are. I would modify those first, or at the same time, before I put bigger tyres and/or wheels on the car.

I've tried lots of different pads, I'll save you all some time, get the Raybestos ST41 front, ST43 rear combination. I even use them on street with no problems.

    Hi

These have been out of stock for a while. I have my first delivery on its way to me. hopefully by the end of next week.

the rears are on the shelf too, no probs.

Sadly the P-Zero is still out of stock. We won't have them until next year and that is assuming that the world of manufacturing gets somewhere close to normal again.

Goodyear was the supplier of the tyres for the Ferrari F1 team during the production years of the 288, so there should have been some commercial agreement...

Toyo makes some bigger 16" tires. Use a calculator
    Code:

so you're not too tall as it will throw off your speedo.

I grabbed a set of the Longstones. Looks Great!
