https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-ferrari-dino-246gt-2/ Really nice car, I would paint it Germoglio. Great colour! Great guys to deal with, at least that's what I hear and read Regards, Alberto
Lovely car. Seats not to my taste. Yes, it is a shame it is not still in Verde Germoglio. The fate of so many Dinos, to be painted red. I remember seeing Iain's in the metal a year or two back and falling in love with it! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dino 04122 donated to BAT Charity, nice car with needs, price seems strong https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-ferrari-dino-4/
I agree that's a strong price. Maybe the buyer had a charitible leaning when the bid was placed. If they can show an appraisal for less, they can take a contribution for the difference. On the other hand, they obvioully wanted the car and Dino ownership is worth it
The high bidder had a cool story if you read through the comments. That exact Dino used to belong to his uncle and he got to drive it as a teenager. There is no value higher than sentimental value when it comes to something like this.
Dino 06428 is the fifth Dino from the year 1973 that BAT is now having at auction https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-ferrari-dino-5/
Let’s watch for the next couple of BAT auctions, I suspect we may see something a bit different. Shawn
Just sold my 72' to a broker in Japan. He was telling me the demand for Dinos is currently through the roof! https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-ferrari-dino-7/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
so I made a comment on the auction on this car - i claimed that there was 4-5 DINOS for sale right now and someone replied "there may be 4 or 5 in the US but there are "heaps of Dinos for sale in Europe" was it one of you ? I'm not looking for fight - I'm just curious if others feel the there are heaps of Dinos for sale in Europe
There may be “heaps”, which I doubt, but at what price? There isn’t a free fall in the market that I have seen. Heaps, what a strange way to describe something.
Texas - I agree with you - I love looking for Dinos and reading about them and of the 5 I have found that are actively for sale 1 is in Germany and 1 is in Holland so I was being polite on Bat - the idea that there are heaps of Dino for sale in Europe is ridiculous firstly they didn't make heaps and if you were living in Europe and wanted to sell your Dino wouldn't you advertise it with the notion that North American buyers could find it ?
There are quite a few for sale in Europe https://www.classicdriver.com/en/cars/ferrari/246-dino-1969-1974?currency=USD https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/search.html?dam=0&isSearchRequest=true&ms=8600;5&sfmr=false&vc=Car
Heaps would be a common slang word in Ireland to describe lots. Not so strange unless we visualise a heap of Dinos. Now that would be strange
a murder maybe ? a murder of dinos ? thanks for the link - I loved seeing those European Dinos - I think there was about 22 - one I think was the very cool light green that just joined our forum ...? Either way - it was so cool to see these cars I had not seen but even still - if we have now identified less than 30 cars for sale - and I was wrong about saying there were 5 - I still consider them to be hard to find and acquire
Re: car in OP. I have not been watching market. $250 does seem a bit light. "Sign of the times"? April 2020. Is that a reference to the pandemic or something more? Thanks.
