email from a friend of mine in Germany today, this is where the EU economies are now and where we'll be in a year or three. I was approached by my bank last week, stating that my account will be burdened by an extra deficit (minus 2%) and additional administration fees will be applied for all deposits in my account, i.e. liquidity. „They would assist me in investing my liquidity“ otherwise. What a joke ! Essentially it means I need to clear my account, immediately, always - or be punished
Peculiar phrasing but not actually incorrect: since 10 is 2/3 of 15; 15 is actually ‘a’ third larger than 10!
15 x 2/3 = 10 Correct However: One third of 10 is 3.3333 One third larger than 10 is 10 + 3.333 = 13.333 Therefore 15 is actually not "a" third larger than 10 15 is 50% larger than 10 Q: How many schools ? M
Wrong. God, I hope you have engineers go over your designs! 10 is 1/3 smaller than 15, but 15 is 50% bigger than 10. It's not just maths, it's grammar.
Jeez did you guys swallow your sense of humour with you cornflakes? Statistics all depends on context - yes, 15 is 50% more than 10 BUT if you take a 15oz glass and pour 10 0z in, it is 2/3 full; add another 5 oz and the glass is now full so an extra third of beer has been added. Just happens that in this case, adding 50% of the original constitutes a third of the total! The original statement wasn’t qualified and didn’t mention percentages; y’all just assumed.
Nope. Still wrong. You're right in that it's to do with context, but you're looking at it the wrong way. Talk to your engineer.
They're dead set idiots. Instead of letting him just go away they keep giving him more and more publicity AND hell be acquitted! https://www.sbs.com.au/news/donald-trump-facing-another-lawsuit-over-us-capitol-attack
