It was perfection incarnate. The missus isn't keen on foie gras (which is totally fine; it's not everyone's jam and i only indulge once or twice a year really) but the foie gras raspberry tart was absolutely astonishing.

Ryan (chef/owner) got his first star with Bresca, and his chef's table on the second floor, bar Jont, should have gotten one this past year but the tire folks weren't traveling sadly. Understandable of course, but still disappointing. Excited for him to get his next one, cause the kid can frickin cook.

Ended up getting Chinese take out with my brother and parents. Chef must be having an off night, wasn't very good. Usually its good Americanized Chinese. Since I'm moving this will be my last meal there.

I wanted Marco's pizza again, but they're closed. So I went for Little Caesar's. It wasn't what I was craving, but it hit the spot.

Left over Chinese food. It wasn't very good heated up. Decided to eat early and try to get another load over to the new house.

Spicy? That looks good! Will ask the wife to be on the lookout for that on her next trip to Costco. I bought a bottle of gojuchang a few weeks ago and am itching to use it in something...T

Not at all. I tossed some red pepper flakes on it and threw it in the instapot for a bit. Pretty simple meal for $20 and a ton of leftovers!

I'm finishing moving the kitchen this morning. Taking fridge, microwave, pantry cans and dishes. So it will be fast food again.

Sounds like the moving is going well. We're close to back to normal after the snow/record low temps/power outages. We did pork chops and green bean casserole.

On the future (fingers crossed) food front, several our peppers picked last week to make an appearance.

Calabrian peppers. About 2 weeks old.

    Serrano peppers. About week old.
Also have habanero, Hungarian hot wax, ancho and jalapeno in various stages of start up. Thus far, no joy on those...T

Been 20 years, but there was an Argentian Butcher on Western, eh, half-block down from Santa Monica Blvd., 1000 block just above Koreatown. Neighborhood had a mix of Salvadorans & Argentians. Oh, the nightly sounds of gunfire . . .

Far away from all that now. But . . . When I see 'em, I'll ask a couple of my Argentian Neighbors if their kids (somewhere in SoCal) or they (Main residence of 3 is in Oxnard) have a source.

So far, all indoor under grow lights. I was overwintering some peppers outside. I had them covered but kind of afraid of peeking under the covers after last week's temps. ☹️

I saw a sign advertising sides of beef. Might get one for myself and Bella. Should get a lot of hamburger for her. Few steaks and roasts for me.

Not sure what dinner will be tonight. If I get a shower and fresh clothes, maybe do rolls and beef yaki soba as apposed to sashimi. More filling!

Do you have a huge freezer? I think one of the F-chatters @BrettC mentioned that he ordered beef in large quantities. Our stand up couldn't handle that much beef, nor could my cholesterol level...T

I have a medium sized one. Forget how big. Its pretty empty now, cleaned it out before moving.

Got Subway for dinner. There is a Japanese restaurant in the same plaza as Subway. I'll try it this week.
