Just ordered a set of stainless brake lines (4) with Kevlar casings and four liters of Motul 600RBF to be installed this weekend.

Just a precaution. I've suffered spongy OEM brake lines and low boiling point fluid while racing at Barstow in July. I learned my lesson.

    four liters? that much?
i though 1 liter is overkill

I intend to completely flush the system as well as the ABS. The kit actually comes with 3 liters, not 4, my typo.

I went thru this on my 360-

I pulled the stock rubber brake lines and then waited weeks for my ss brake lines. This allowed the system to fully drain,

    so I had issues bleeding

I took it to a shop to get firm brakes

be sure you don’t leave the lines off for a long time

best to have your lines ready to install

or perhaps I’m just a brake bleeding fail :)

What information led you to leave the braking system open to the air?

My ss brake lines were delayed in shipping. So I just placed rubber mech gloves over the lines and zip tied them. The rubber gloves expanded and filled w fluid. Was a mess. Not a deliberate act for sure.

I bled the system to the best of my abilities... but they were still not great. Had my buddies shop finish the job for proper firm pedal.

^^^^^^^ If I'm being very generous, or just take a nap while the long line is bleeding, I use a little over 500ml, i.e. one(1) bottle.

As for ABS, I just make sure I activate it often to push fluid through the system.

Replaced mine with goodridge SS lines....used 1.5 - 500 ml of Motul 600 RBF. Do yourself a favor and get a Motive bleeder.

"racing" in oem brake lines and low temp fluid is not smart. LOL

I've done it both ways (not on f-cars specifically, but they're not really any different component-wise), pumping brakes and with a vacuum tool. Haven't really noticed a difference either way.

We do have a motive bleeder ! one might be advised to wrap big towel around it as Dan, ( Normal guy supercar ,) had the cap pop off as i recall, on one of his videos and it made quite a mess !

That's the guy who didn't know there were 2 bleed valve (nipples) on his brake calipers when changing his brake fluid. The cap on my bleeder has never popped off. Oh..btw..he set his F430 he was prepping to sell on fire...... brilliant!!!!

    For stoptech:
950.03003 is for the front as the caliper has hard-line that goes into the clipped end.
950.03501 is for the rear as the SS hose screws directly into the caliper.

I have StopTech SS lines on my 360. There is an improvement in feel, although I changed the pads at the same time so it’s possible the pads (StopTech Sport) contributed.

We would be happy to offer our stainless brake lines to Fchat members for a special price $149 plus shipping, list is $179 for most models. We have been producing these for the last 8 years. All lines are bench tested prior to shipping. Added options for color or clear PVC coating to the stainless. A great option as it prevents road grime from discoloring the stainless strands
