Curious what the other 9 schools were (with scholarships) and why you/she chose Princeton?

Can't you sell an F40 and just buy a whole college?

Insane what college costs ... I don’t even feel that old ( I’m 47 ), and my last year of undergrad cost my Dad about ~ $18,000. Same school now, 25 years later, is touching $60,000 a year. Nothing fancy either - I graduated from St. John’s University in Minnesota.

Would be a killer to sell a F40 for college tuition .... you two need to think of a different plan - lol

It’s definitely worth it to keep hustling - I am 62 and will never forget this day my daughter called me from college. Of course, my first thought was “how much do you need?” She was a junior and explained that in one of her classes that day, they were told 94% of kids graduating had student loans. And she just wanted to tell me thank you because she didn’t have one. It was all worth it right then!

    These numbers are nuts

Undergrad tuition here in Canada can be as low as 4k for a decent school.

You guys are crazy to think of selling F40s - this is why student loans were invented!! ;)

Absolutely no student loan. Keep the F40. Start with community colleague, then university. Most important when hiring people in my company (mostly engineers) is attitude, not which university they graduated from. Please please please, don't take this as a disrespect for any "fancy" university as I have the outmost respect for those.

Actually everyone should run out and get as many student loans as possible because they are going to be forgiven! Ferrari for everyone!

I remember hearing a car HP shouldn't be more than 10% of your take home, in April I'll have paid off my 348 :), been 4 years of £1k a month. It's been more 15-20% of my income. I've managed to keep mine in good condition, but it's certainly no show car! I guess not going often to bars & clubs might of changed that, though you're only young once haha

    Back to leroy105's original post.

It's not important how much the average Ferrari owner makes. You save up the money, and buy it cash. Pending which model/year/warranties etc. you also save up an amount for service/possible repairs. Be totally at ease with any depreciation. From there on, drive and enjoy.

There is a bell shaped curve and I think the majority of owners fall in line where you are at. At least In my circle we all fall in the 3-700k a year range and although not crazy wealthy we are comfortable enough to write a check for 250k to make ourselves happy.
You then have the low side of the curve which should be buying a corvette not an F car and then you have the guys with F you money who can buy a gold plated Ferrari for fun.
I live in Miami where everyone is a wanna be baller. Buy it and enjoy. When I’m depressed I walk into my garage and look at the F car And it’s better than Prozac. Never had that with a vette or 911.
