STO or 765LT Spider

They charged me more than that for Alaska Diamond Metallic which I didn’t create.

 

Finally placed an order for a STO today. When it will show up is anyone’s gusss, but that’s okay as I have lots of diversions meanwhile.

Sarasota did a nice job with a nicely done reveal party, but it did get a bit chaotic.

The reveal is loaded to the max, and after spending some time inside and out, I’d opt to cut back a bit on amount of alcantara and CF. Alcantara on the steering wheel and door sills is an accident waiting to happen, and I don’t want all that CF inside anyway.

Yeah, it’s a track car, but there are a few weak points - zero visibility through the rear view mirror, and the rear tire will quickly ruin the molding rear of the tire. So cover up accordingly. Seating position is awesome, and seats are firm but not uncomfortable.

So.........let’s see where this all goes.

My dealer was quoting $25-$30K for personalized original paint colours.

 

I can’t wait to see it. I’m curious, how does the custom color design process work? I am going through my STO spec process, and even deciding between colors on the existing color palette is unnerving, I cannot imagine how challenging the custom process must be.

 

just texted my guys.... here was the response:

“Yes, MSO will quote it for us. I’ve put in the request.

If Diamond Metallic is the one with diamonds in it, well... “

For matt or satin finish- yes you are in the 30k range. We are doing (planning on doing) gloss paint. No metallic, no matt. I’ll get the quote and post it when I get it but just sharing what I was told.

 

You can pick from one of the colors or completely design your own. If you liked a lambo color or porsche or ferrari color- you can get it. If you want to modify an existing color, you can modify it. They will make a paint sample for you to approve or modify further.

As soon as I get the quote I’ll share it but i was told 12k. It may be wrong. Either way- I’m going custom on the paint- no doubt about it.

 

I’m not phased by the design process. My wife and I have a good eye. We have designed and built several homes so it’s a fun process to put together a color palate. I’m sure not everyone will like our design and that’s ok but I have a theme in mind that I want to carry through on this car.

 

I kind of suck at it, and my wife isn’t involved in my carcaine habit at all. You want to do my STO spec for me...? Lol.

 

There have been some great specs posted by others. Post what you are thinking and I’d be happy to offer my two cents as I’m sure would others. Let’s do it. My wife just left and I’m sitting at home with the dog with time to kill. Lol

 

No he’s thinking of another color. It was a black with Diamond flec in it. They showed it to me I didn’t like it but it’s crazy expensive. My color is middle right.

I just checked they charged me $12,746.00 for my color .

 

That’s the same that I was quoted. 12 and change

 

That's so reasonable when compared to others.

 

Non metallic or matte paint , it is feasible at $12k. The big expense is triple color metalic or matte.

 

Matte paint is 30k

Signal is great. Recently transitioned for reasons that might be easily surmised, and haven’t looked back.

 

Don’t know about your wife but mine would absolutely hate them and not ride in the car. I enjoy taking her out for drives and going places, it’s a deal breaker for me.
