Who still goes with the traditonal "Ferrari Red" over any other Color?
I have done red/black (328), then red/tan (Daytona), then Black/Black (550). Of course depends on car but I am not married to red. Would love next car to be yellow Boxer or TR. Like the Mondial too,but not in yellow.
3 F-cars and no red, nope, nada I remember seeing a color chart for the 360/430 models and red was 49%, now I saw somewhere it's in the 20% range.
I had to vote for any other color, but it isn't strictly true. I prefer black on any Fcar, and yellow on some (F355), but I don't care for any other colors but those. I like red more on the Pininfarina cars, not so much on the later ones.
When I was visiting the factory a couple of years ago or so, a senior executive for Ferrari asked me which Ferrari I owned. I told him and then mentioned that people were surprised that it was BluTdF, and NOT red. The Ferrari exec put his hand on my shoulder, looked me dead in the eye, and said, "Amico, EVERY Ferrari is red...no matter what color it is."
Depends on the model. The new Roma for example doesn't look good in Rosso Corsa. Cars with a lot of subtle forms always look better in silvers or light shades of greys.
While I don't care for the Rossa Corsa shade, I also disagree with "any color but red".....For example, why anyone chooses black for a car that is supossed to have great design features I never understand. I also don't like the silver shade Ferrari uses. Bianco Fugi is the best Ferrari color ever....
I haven't chosen a black car in ten years for this reason. It flattens the design. As Frank Stephenson said - never put black on beautiful cars. Black is for ugly cars to make them look less ugly. (Paraphrasing.)
None yet. I could be wrong but based on my experience and from what I've seen in photos Rosso Corsa is not the best option for that design. The few Romas I've seen in person (three to date) have all been gray or silver. FWIW when I was in design school we were always taught to avoid red for certain forms/cars when we went to paint our scale proposals. Now that I think about it there are a lot of Ferraris I don't care for in Rosso Corsa. Just to name a few off the top of my head, 550 Maranello, F12, 812, Lusso, 250 TDF, 275 GTB... It all boils down to personal preference.
Well, I’ve ordered one so I’ll let you know. Didn’t fancy the Portofino; whilst it’s gorgeousl under the sun or bright lights, here in the UK where it’s dull and grey 9/10 months of the year, it looks dull and pinkish. ♂️
When buying a "brand new" F car, RED was and still (for now) my choice. Both of my "brand new" Ferrari purchases were RED, both SCUDERIA to be more specific. "Used", it is a different story. Where some times your desire to buy a specific model overcomes color preference. My 575M was a used car, and it was WHITE
For me, I wouldn’t even consider a Ferrari mid-engine in anything other than Rosso Corsa. That doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate other colors, I just wouldn’t personally buy one. Also, I’m strictly a mid engine sports car. If I were to buy a GT, I would likely get it in blue or black. Also, if I were ever lucky enough to own a vintage Ferrari GT, like a 250 SWB, 250 Lusso or 275 GTB, I would also choose something other than red.
I’ve had four Ferraris, only one in red and that’s being changed right now to the original verde pino. But that isn’t to say I wouldn’t have a red Ferrari. The only deal killer color for me is black.

I like Black, Red, Yellow, and some shades of blue. Never been a fan of white, purple, green, orange, or gold. Silver/Grey I'm neutral on.
Never had or wanted a red. Grigio titanio to start then CdF and now all Nero. Would love a TdF or similar or darker blue at some point. Yellow or white not for me. If I were to get a vintage mid engine (288GTO) or front engine (275 NART Spider)then red may be an option for me Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I was torn on getting a color other than Red, seems so traditional and looks great, traded in a Red for this blue beauty, took delivery yesterday. Image Unavailable, Please Login
