My 3.4L 85' GTS QV Restomod / Paul Newman Restoration might be up in Spring. I'll have zero clue how to price it.
BAT may be the best place to see what it'd bring. I'd list it here first though to keep it in the family.

Sorry...It's already completed... This is Crowndogs old car built by Newman back in 2012-2013.
Car is totally squared away and sorted. Nothing left to be done. It's done and ready to drive.
I've done several 200-300 mile days in the mountains the last several months.

Thank goodness that not many people “get” 308s
Keeps them within reach of those of us you do get them.

As much as I love it and wish to keep it, I ended up missing my Turbo S so badly that I bought another one (newer version-2017 vs. my old 2012).
I have 4 vehicles now and not enough parking room, as well as no need for so many vehicles. Plus it would really help reduce the loan amount I have on the Turbo. I'm debating selling my truck instead so I don't have to move the 308. It's just not financially "smart" for me to have so much money tied up in all these vehicles, given my income bracket. I love driving it and hope I figure out a way to just keep it. It's amazing.

His 83 QV sold for 62k awhile back. I remember they featured it on the t.v. show What's My Car Worth.

As for the celebrity conection, if anyone feels that Steve’s name brings significant value and provenance to a car, our shop currently owns two of his cars that are projects. A 308 GTS QV and a 308 GT4 and they are available for sale.

Ive owned a couple of ex-celebrity cars and never paid a premium because of them, nor sold at a premium.
the Lee Majors 308 gts was a good sale only because it was a phenomenal 308. The Forbes Diablo was going up for auction(sold by me in the annual Scottsdale auctions)and was destroyed by hurricane winds under the tent. Insurance paid me out as I would have been paid by someone bidding on an early Diablo.

I don’t know the car, but I see no reason why a thoroughly and properly restored 308 shouldn’t bring $200k plus. It is one of the most beautiful and iconic designs, most charming and rewarding to drive, and very useable. With Restored Dinos over $400k the 308 should easily be 1/2 that.

I was a little surprised it hammered at $200K. I think it was more about the restoration than the celebrity ownership. I think the cars' placement in the auction lineup also helped a lot. There were a lot of high-end bidders online at that time and cars before it where selling for big dollars. I think a couple of people got caught up in the moment and it escalated pretty quickly. Overall, I think whoever bought it got a great car that they can show or drive with confidence for many years to come.
