    Is there a Ferrari color code or paint type for the flat black used on the F430 front bumper air intake openings.

    Tarek, I'm sorry I don't know the answer, maybe others can help.

    But I was wondering, between asking about front bumper removal, and now color codes, and attempting to drive your F430 onto a flatbed, is the car OK? Did anything happen to it?

    If you look closely it's a dark grey. It is the same color that's used on the rear diffuser. I'd have a reputable dealer send you a match. Most get some left over touch up bottles from the repair shops they use.

    No problem really, it is just all these damn scratches and scrapes on the bottom section of the bumper because of two incredibly high speed bumps I scraped the car on and the car has only 800+ miles on it and I just had a couple of guys last week fly in from Germany to 3M my F430 here in Cairo and the 3M material won't adhere properly to the bottom of the bumper due to the scrapes. So I bought a second new front bumper for my F430 from Ferrari in Germany and will have it painted there this week and 3M'ed with the same company who did my car. Once that is done I will ship the bumper over to Cairo and replace the one on the car, get that one also done and that way I always have a spare bumper. You might think I am a little too meticulous, but these scrapes really get on my nerves and actually I found the price of a new bumper to be very reasonable, much less than what I expected.

    Walter, I am looking for the black color in the air intake openings in the front F430 bumper as shown in the picture below. Is that the color you mean?

    Thanks Walter, but I don't have any details at all for this color. I checked your link, they don't even have the FER. 740 (Grigio Silverstone) color which is my F430's exterior color. They have it under a different number.
    I will be going to the Ferrari service here in Cairo tomorrow morning and I will try to find out about the black color.

    Just as a heads up . The color you are referring to is NEITHER black nor is it flat/matte. It is a dark charcoal color for which unfortunately i do not have the number for . I'm sure someone else here will have the correct paint codes . The car looks great . Isn't it a boatload of fun ? I just can't help but smile everytime i drive mine .Good luck on your project .

    The F430 inner nose color is close to Canna de Fucile. I touched up a few tiny nicks with CDF. It was better than using Nero touch-up, which would have been more noticable.

    In case someone will need it in the future. The color code for the matte black finish of the two front bumper air intakes is PPG 248514 matte finish.
    I emailed Ferrari Customer Care today through the Ferrari's Owner's Site and to my amazement, they replied within two hours.

    Guys, as I've viewed photos of F430's, it sure seems like there might be two different colors that have been used for the gray intake "nostrils"?
    My '06 spider's are a gray color that seems much lighter than the dark gray I've seen on other cars.

    Is this just my imagination?
