Works so much better with the black roof to my eyes. I loved the design when I first saw it but seeing it with the body coloured red roof, it just doesn’t flow or seem right. Has me thinking about the design again - is it a legitimate thing that the design works only with a certain treatment on the roof? I suppose those who prefer it body coloured could see it the other way around, however, Manzoni himself said the design is supposed to work with the roof black. Does that make it clever design or just too polarising?

I saw a giallo body / black roof SF90 in the metal & I thought it looked ungainly. From pics here, SF90 is better looking when body and roof are same color. IMO. All that being said, thus far, my favorite among the combinations depicted here is the all-black version - sinister, sleek, futuristic - so what do I know?

I think the issue is the cut line above the B pillars that spans over the roof. If it flowed naturally from the mid-section of the roof to the rear haunches, like on the 458, it wouldn’t have this issue. This cut line along with the vertical rear window makes the roof look like it’s its own separate piece, almost like it’s a removable hard top or like the design was always meant to be a convertible.

In my opinion, the single color examples look better from the front views where neither are visible. But from the rear, the single color results in an awkward, somewhat heavy look. Regardless, I still think the car looks stunning. But I agree that the black roof does help the design to feel more organized and gives it a less “heavy” feel.

This red illustrates the more cohesive look when the roof matches the body...

Yep, to my eye that looks the business. I would go black wheels - add in the pop of yellow from shields, wheel caps and calipers and you got yourself a high-tech F-car for the next age.

BTW, I thought I read that SF-90 has a heads up display (HUD). Am I recalling that correctly? If so, has anyone see any pictures of the SF90 HUD?...T
