    My car is missing this drip cover for the distributor. I can't find a replacement (can't even find a part number). I'm getting an estimate from a fabricator to see what it would cost to have this made. You can see the 2 mounting bolts on the firewall. If you don't have them then you may not need this.

    Is there anyone else in the market for this distributor drip cover? If so I'll publish the cost when I find out.

    What year and market is your car? There's also a drip cover mounted on the underside of the engine lid vents on the left side on some cars.

    My 84 Euro QV did not have either cover/shield from the factory.

    My car is a 1980 308 GTS Euro (carbs) car. My car does not have the engine vent lid drip rails.

    My 76 GTB has both, one on the firewall and one on the decklid that you are referencing here. The coils are just below the distributor, so I am confident that its protecting both.

    They were not fitted to our cars as we have TWO distributors....the rain deflector was moved top the louver assembly, and our two distributors get lttle rubber booties..

    Ok. That's 3 units. I've checked the part from Maranello Parts in the UK and the price to the US is around $250. Still waiting for the production cost estimate.

    As to the cost of reproducing these covers...it's not an option. It's more than the cost from Maranello Parts.

    Hello all,
    I was looking for many years for the shield as mine was missing, finally got one from an auction site.
    Its different to the one shown by 4right, the two back holes line up but the "ear" part is alot longer and doesn't fit anywhere, however its better than nothing!

    There are two part numbers for this cover. One for GTS and one for GTB.
