It’s not a delivery mileage but I put mine in at 5,000 miles for a service 14 miles away and when it came back via their driver it was a) three hours late b) red hot engine clicking time and c) had 100 miles on the clock more than when I dropped it off. Deeply unimpressed and when I talked to them got the blather about a test drive (and when I pressed their longest test is 17 miles - so no idea about the other 70)

Sadly, in this day and age, that is another reason for security cameras in the car.

I purchased my 488 new from a VERY reputable dealership, with the same mileage ... 44. So what if it was a "joy ride"? Your car and my car are under full factory warranty.

Just asking. I get what you're saying. But warranty won't fix the potential rock chips on triple layer paint.

That I know, but it would be my car. So my miles are supposed to be on that car... Anyway, I feel much better now since it seems that it is within average.

Yeah, that is indeed unreasonable. I think if you had a dashcam, that wouldn't have happened.

I get that you want all the miles to be put on by you. Consider though, its 1.5 hrs each way to my dealer for the annual. Most folks can't remember when 44 miles were on the odometer. If average was just a few miles one way or the other from the 44 then your talking about 10 miles? You'll see what I mean in a year or two. Please enjoy the car. :)

I will. But not for a few more weeks. Needs to get PPF'd. CA roads are not friendly to paint, especially if triple layered.

458S 2015 about 88km from memory. Tech mentioned that it was likely ‘a good egg’ as some with problems discovered in Maranello are upto 140km. They offered to reset it to zero. I declined.
