Thank you. It’s killing me not being In the garage and being able to take it out on the weekends! I may have to visit it next week just to say hello. Lol.

Our local Lexus dealer has a LFA for nearly 10 years in the show room for sale. Its the dealers own car. Looks OK , certainly rarer but that's it.

It sounds amazing. I bring it out especially when younger people are at the track because they go crazy for the car.

Originally, the problem was you could not discern the engine noise from the tire squeal with a helmet on. I came in and asked if I was squealing the tires as it seemed like there was more in the car. They said “Oh yeah! Every corner.” So I realized I couldn’t push too much more.

I have since put on newer rubber as compared to the OEM 2012 Bridgestone and I can get more out of the car.

To answer the question more fully, it is a nicely light feeling car as compared to how it might look. It is well built. The numbers are the numbers though: 552 hp and just 354 torque. Those just don’t make it a car you grab the keys for a lot.

Some mistakenly think it would be a comfortable street car. It is not. Maybe not as bad as the AMG GTR but not much better. That is why she lives at the track home.

Interesting to hear. I always thought of it as a street car that needed more hp. My friend has the GTR and says it is uncomfortable on the street. I suggested a long distance rally in it. He said no it that car

You can buy the parts needed for the chassis. On top of that you need the ECU and TCU. They share engines, but they don't share mapping.

On top of that, the steering and brakes are set up differently, despite using the same parts. Turning an F8 into a Pista is very involved and not cheap.

What you end up with is a modified F8, not a Pista.

If you want you F8 to feel a little more sport/race like...you can install Novitec lowering springs and have the cars height adjusted (not too low/slammed) and a slightly more aggressive alignment.

I did this on my 488 along with HRE 20" wheels on Michelin Sport Cup2 K2 tires and it feels more connected to the road.

F8 didn’t fair too well in motortrends car of the year testing. Particularly they criticized the brakes. I’ve never much cared for Ferraris brakes but users often say how improved they are on F8. Perhaps not so much.

Don't drive a Pista nor listen to the F8 nay- sayers and you will be very pleased with the performance of the F8.

They are not improved. They are the exact same between 488, F8, Pista, TdF, and 812. Still lacklustercand poor modulation.

Why not? I have a Pista and an F8 on order. Different cars with different attributes.

These “journalists” are idiots. None of them can afford these high end cars so they try to write something that lets them stand out and sound intelligent. They aren’t.

Yep...the old 488GTB on same tires...notice the carbon wheels and Michelin Sport Cup2 tires on the car ...same driver too...Randy is an honest guy and superb driver...but the 488 ran the course about a second faster. As far as the brakes they had issues in the 488 too.

The OP does not want to have both the Pista and the F8. He wants to turn his F8 into a Pista. Clearly he prefers the Pista.

When I was at FCA meet in Phoenix there was a guy with a brand new Pista (under 400 miles) with CF wheels. He was a serious racer and spent over 10 minutes explaining how you need to prep the CF brakes by going up to 40mph and then slamming the pedal and then increasing the speed several times. He said it made a big difference in their performance
