Just had the car out for a morning Christmas blast, regardless I’m enjoying the hell out of this car!

I am heading out tomorrow to see it. I may not be able to pick it up because Ferrari wants a specific item on the insurance binder, declaring them the "Loss Payee". Without that, I can't take the car. It is funny, the finance process was super easy. The insurance binder, not so much. I have to wait for the official documents to be drafted, hopefully it will have them designated as such. The timing kind of sucks because nobody works today so it may not come out in time. If so, I won't be able to pick it up myself until the 16th as I am working straight (I work everyday but I wont be able to leave the area this entire next 2 week, after Sunday). However, I am heading out to see it tomorrow. If I can't pick it up, I could get it picked up by a carrier and have it taken to my car guy for paint correction, PPF and ceramic.

 

I have a really great insurance guy down in your neck of the woods, if you need one. He does all my cars, motorcycles, homes, etc. Really fantastic to deal with.

I wasn’t “talking to Enzo like that,” I was caricaturing Enzo as not giving a crap what y’all think. Very different. In fact, if Enzo read my comment he’d probably laugh.

 

Here’s an interesting viewpoint.

I just added a valve controller and Akrapovic GPF delete on my GT4 Porsche and the Valve control added way more noise that the Akrapovic.

Not sure where you’re based, but the GPF in the 718 GT4 for North America uses a dummy unit designed to mimic the back pressure of a functioning GPF. Below is a link to an owner who literally took matters into his own hands in trying to restore some of the lost sound.

Why couldn’t Ferrari have done this for NA-bound cars? It would have made their removal easier since the filter isn’t monitored by the ECU as they are in Europe.

 

Because they don't have to. People complain but keep coming back.
