    Mayana spicy hot chocolate came in a few weeks ago & finally had a chance to play with the proportions.

    Making it in an ibrik for easier stove-top experimenting. The ibrik pictured above is 8 oz; already took a hit and the milk & cocoa mix have started to separate. Gotta really keep this stuff mixed well with constant stirring. I use a battery operated milk frother.

    Best recipe thus far is 3 tbsp cocoa mix, 2 tbsp powdered milk, 8 oz water, 3 "shakes" of additional ancho powder. Not very spicy as in spicy hot. The cinnamon taste is great. With a few extra shakes of ancho powder it's in the right range of heat for a morning drinking IMO. The killer app so far is one shot of this hot cocoa added to a double espresso for a Mexican mocha.
