What's "aftica?" Another Freaking Thing I Cannot Afford? Trying to figure out how people name their boats.
I agree the best boat names need to mean something to you that is the point. Intrepids are great boats . SO are you a fisherman or cruiser start with that .. retired or working , get away or ... ? I have owned lots of boats and the name is always a personal decision between my family and I .. ..
I know this is a nit but if you're running back and forth to the Bahamas having a name that is easily spelling and easy to pronounce is a plus. Easier to make reservations, clear customs, work the radio when you're arriving and so on. My last boat was named Halcyon and I can't believe how many times the spelling didn't match on dock reservations or I had to spell it out letter by letter on a radio while the wind is blowing. BTW, the 32' Intrepid is a fantastic boat. I think it's my favorite in their line.
My gf suggested the "A$$ Slapper", but maybe not. I don't know about this one, either... CW Image Unavailable, Please Login
I realize this is a nit yet in case you're running to and fro to the Bahamas having a name that is effectively spelling and simple to articulate is an or more. Simpler to make reservations, clear traditions, work the radio when you're showing up, etc.
I named a 110 mph STV Euroski “”Mayhem”, because I saw a video with Tommy Lee who had it tatoo’d to his stomach ... thought it was a great name for the rocket I had at the time .... This was in the early 2000’s ... MDS
