FInally got around to making the smoked jalapeno dip which was excellent - wife would have liked it a little hotter, so may leave a few seeds in next time :)

Paired it with a dry martini with blue cheese olives. No vermouth was harmed in the making of this martini!

It is very good. The wife handled the reservation last week as she knows a silent partner. She rarely asked for a favor from them but this was a special occasion.

Fortinos Pizza Kit from the Pane Fresco box - grab it, I love their pizza and usually order one to be made when I enter the store. This time I wanted to make one myeslf.
It was on sale for $9.99! It came with their amazing dough, sauce, shredded mozzarella, and pepperonis. I followed the (new to me) instructions on the label. It made two pizza's. and fed the whole family with leftovers. GO FOR IT :D

Bought from Fortino's. They've been doing the same thing for 50 years and are really good at it. They use special blends/flours and I've never been able to nail their secret formula.

Great stores. Tamas it's worth the drive :)

We have a big family with hungry teenaged mouths to feed. Went through over half of the three loaves, but plenty left over.

I felt a little bad that most of the kids said they like it better than Mom's meat loaf!!!:eek::D

Looks good just don't put too many of those chipotles in there!!

I made a beef/lamb and veggie soup yesterday. It's that kinda weather again. Couldn't decide whether to use some sort of steak or burger and they had ground lamb so I made it half ground beef and half ground lamb. Lots of shrooms and a few other veggies. Came out pretty tasty even though I'd normally use beef stock but forgot to buy any. Just used water and it still came out good.
