When we came back from Canada one year it was raining and the wiper motor was making a funny noise, so I shut off the wipers. With the rake of that windshield and at highway+ speeds, the rain just ran off and I didn't even need the wipers! :)

I can see it now "But officer, the windshield wipers were not working on my Ferrari, so I had to drive 100+ mph to keep the rain off them!"

Fortunately it hardly ever rains here so highly unlikely I am out in the 612 when it happens. Last week it rained (overnight) first time since February I think.

However when it does rain, cue mass panic, chaos, flooding and general mayhem

On such days I stay home and examine the contents of my bar....

It was pouring yesterday and I took my 612 to work (have to take advantage of the easy parking-- won't last forever!). I thought about taking a picture, but didn't bother.

I drive when I feel like driving it (rain or shine)...I have convinced myself ,over the decades , that mulling over every little swirl mark is useless. It is metal/plastic/rubber/leather like any other car. I personally believe the cars love you more for treating them the way they should be, and not like a little canary trapped in a birdcage!

To this day, I have tracked Maserati, Alfa, Porsche, Corvettes, and a Saleen. All had no protest with me doing so ; ). And I go at least once a month. 599 will be next one of these days!
