Many here know how much I have missed my 488. I knew it was a mistake but I had made a trade deal and I stand by my word even if I regret it. I have enjoyed my 812 thru this year and love the sound but found that even with the 812, I even missed my 488 experience more and more. I looked for a similar spec but was unsuccessful and even tried to find a Pista. Then a new C-8 became available to me in early November which I jumped on. Mid engine experience solved! I was just informed that I have an April build spot for the F-8!
Would I have traded my 488 for a new F-8, probably not due to the trade difference but my 488 is gone and I need to replace it. Several here posting delivery pictures of their F-8 pushed me over the edge. I have spent several hours test driving the F-8 and feel it will be a great car as I am a mid engine guy. I must admit that the C-8 is beyond my expectations and has been a blast so far and will fit in next to the 812 and ZR1 just fine.

Sounds like you have solved your problem of missing the 488. Congrats.
But, I am always impressed how good the C8 looks! Great to hear your positive opinion of the car.
Just seems like a very solid car(the C8).

Ferrari's mid engine platform is incredible, I don't blame you! Congrats on the F8 allocation

I still have my 458 Spider but considering a second driver. Like you, not quite ready to surrender mid-engine. The C8 HTC, F8 Spider and even the Lambo EVO Spyder are all on my list. Decisions, decisions..............

Most folks that have the C8 really seem to like them so far. Hooray for Chevy if indeed they got it right with the new platform!

    Love your color, btw.

Plagiarized the entire car and squared it off a bit would be more appropriate. Although the back looks fatter.

I still prefer the Ferrari lines though.

The Corvette OEM rim choices are terrible. I purchased these Forgelines that are very close to the TDF rims on my 812. Problem solved and many have commented that it was a good move.
Yes the Ferrari lines are better, which I also prefer!

That's why my 488 isn't going anywhere! The 488 does everything so well and so easy on the eyes. As for the F8 Tributo there is a reason Ferrari is calling it the "Tribute" as its my guess the 8 cylinder mid engine cars may be coming to an end. Maybe a hydrid 6 will be next? Who knows.... If you have a 488 or F8 I'd hold onto them. They may be in strong demand down the road a few years from now....?

probably not. It would be 458 in high demand before 488 or F8 for multiple objective obvious reasons.

    Grate on your F8 allocation.

IMO think about your spec REALLY WELL. This will be your very last mid engine V8 Ferrari , no electric car to be purchased new.

Think what you want not what the next guy wants and enjoy. Its the END of an era.

Great comment. I chose options that duplicate my 812 even including the rims. Ordered the standard rims but have a set of Pista coming in.

For under $100k brand new I can’t see anything that’s even remotely close. It’s also genuinely comfortable. Not really a compromise to be had with the car except for a screaming V8 but Ferraris don’t have those either anymore.

    Why not?

Will the Z06 or Zora be, or is it an intangible (ie., soul)?

As a current 458 owner I’m not sure I can say it’s no comparison as in worse. The C8 is more solidly built. No rattles. Very compliant and comfortable. Light years ahead as far as tech. 90% there in acceleration. Just missing that 9000 rpm scream and soul.

oh and it makes the Ferrari steering wheel feel huge.

For me the C8 is a non starter until they stop the real screaming engine in there. 2021?

2022 I believe. It’s yet to be confirmed but what I hear is 8500-9000 rpm and 630 hp. I can’t see why I’d buy anything else.
