My 2007 car was delivered with Bridgestone tires because Ferrari used them that year in F1. I've had Michelin PS2s on my Z06s and I loved them over the OEM Goodyear tires. I would like to replace the Bridgestone tires with either the Pirelli P Zero Rosso, or the Michelin PS4. Any insights would be appreciated.

I live in SoCal so snow is not an issue and it rarely rains (but when it does they are gully washers). Reduced noise and lots of grip are my goal. Wear is not a consideration as neither tire is that expensive.

    Thanks.

The Pzero is not a kind tire cold or in the wet. Most prefer the Michelin.

I switched from half worn P-zeros to Mps4s. Night and day. Really impressed.

I have the P-zeros on my 430 spider, as when I did the PPI, my indy tech recommended them as an OEM replacement for my current purposes, they are not bad, and have solid grip (I live in S FL) in the dry that said, when I wear them down, I will do with the MPS 4s I have them on my '19 E63 and love them

    Thanks all.

I was leaning toward the Michelin PS4s and this is what I needed to know.

Definitely. I swapped near new P Zeros for new MPS4Ss on my 430 and it was a huge difference. Note, MPS4S is very different to MPS4. It seems obvious but it’s also an easy mistake to make and I have seen people make it.

The relevant threads explain it, but the Michelins are more supple, have better wet and cold grip, tramline and patter less, and hang on as well and have better feel near the limit despite being just slightly softer. The only plus for the P Zero in my view, and it is a plus, is the harder sidewall gives a a sharper turn in. That’s the only bit I miss. But overall, MPS4Ss every day, and by a long way.

I've been reading lately that the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 is now the best high performance tire available in sizes that fit the 360 and F430. Has anyone had any direct experience with them? They certainly are attractive looking.

I did experience pzero ( not nero ) on snow around Lake Tahoe and it worked just fine. I've not driven ps4s on snow yet...
