And not one person suggested JB Weld... <sigh> ;-) Sorry to see it man but everything else is going well!
Not a 355 mill, but close: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1975-ferrari-308-gt4-5/ Cool project btw Mr. Vonbarrron.....really enjoy stopping-by every few weeks to check out the latest WTF repair attempts by the PO that you've uncovered.
Oh man am I ever glad I didn't know about that auction... That was a steal. Funny thing is originally when I started cooking this up in my mind, I was thinking taking a Mondial engine from a trashed Mondial. This car is scarily close to what I had in mind. I would lean it more toward street than track, but it must be a blast on the track. Thanks for posting the link. It proves once again that anything cool that I think of has already been thought of and done by someone else.
Your SAI is 6 degrees different left to right, but camber is only 1.5 different. Bent spindle? Driver's side with a bunch of shims behind the upper control arm?
No it was all loose, zero shims and loose nuts, they got it a squared away and everything in spec, shame I’ll have to blow it all apart again for paint, only aligned it to get the fenders built semi close to matching
Had some time again, decided maybe the car should steer, only thing to do with big wheels is whack out the door supports. I’m totally saving weight. Vroom Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I’m back in the saddle after a month of touring around , time to get back on this thing, today I finally did the steering clearance, nothing hits, I now have legitimate 10” wide wheels on front with no trouble. started boxing everything and stopped to work on the Porsche, shifter cable fell off in the intersection in fourth. I’m sure I cut out ten pounds of material and then added 4 pounds because race car Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Boy that looks ugly in last picture, it’s all pretty now, reinforced, black and such, had some time today to make a panel, wish I had a tipping wheel, would’ve made it so much faster than a hammer and dolly. Lil bit more, so fun making two of everything Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Today was race car door day, managed to pull 38 pounds of material out of each door. They now weigh in at 23 pounds each with a nice little tube structure with door pull, also cobbled a temp hinge until I find a proper one. No windows of course because I’m not a coward Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Had a couple hours today, doors hung (like me) and latch, door gaps are questionable but I did melt out lots of lead, I replaced the lugbolnuts that came with it. Call me old fashioned but I went with chrome because “chrome gets you home”

I’m really digging on the rivets in the lower side apron. Such a cool fabricated look. I look forward to your updates so stay in the shop and keep making progress
Not much to report, just tedious welding, unending making panels Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Styling cues from the F40, I have to say I really like that look. This machine looks like it going to be a cross between the 288 GTO and the F40 .I wish Ferrari would build some thing like this fellow is creating. Im so looking forward to seeing the finished product. Thank you
