There has been several threads on here about CarPlay2Air and how it doesn’t work. Well, finally, after they updated it, it now works!

You have to email them to get the updated file if you already have the system, but once they give you the update, it connects pretty well.

Here’s a video of it working.

Be aware that when I tried to update the device for one of my two cars, the screen on my phone showing the update never got past 90% complete. But everything else went as instructed, the system rebooted and works. Although I haven't noticed any change in how it performs, it still doesn't always hook up on the first try. Manually connecting it through the bluetooth settings on my phone always works, though. Haven't updated it on the Porto yet, will do so later.

So either it didn't update or the screen on your phone never gets past 90%. I'll see if the same thing happens on the Porto.

Did you not update it by using a computer?

I’ve got this and it works great! I actually bought it for my daily (Range Rover) but it works so well I’ve ordered one for my PF as well.

Pro tip - if you have access to a car that doesn’t need the updated firmware, it is far easier to do it in the car than fannying around downloading firmware to usb etc...

What Ranger Rover do you have? I thought about getting one for my wife's car but not sure if it was going to work.

It’s a 2018 Range Rover Autobiography. I actually had to update the firmware in the Ferrari for it to work in the Range Rover. My (ex) wife’s Range Rover Sport from the same year has the same infotainment so I can’t see why it wouldn’t work. I’ll try it for you if you like - her car is stored at mine for the time being...what does your wife have?

We have a 2019 sport so sounds like it should work.
