That's a spare shock I have. I wonder if the shock will explode given that it has oil inside and the engine bay heat? It is at least 1 foot away from exhaust though. For some reason that is so tedious to explain that I want to omit, I just secured a shock into the engine bay right towards the rear of the RH gas tank. This will be temporary and will be removed after maybe 200 miles, during which I will drive gently
you hear it right, Phil, I put a shock absorber into the engine bay and secured it to the frame. I fear it will explode because of heat. so I am consulting if explosion is to be expected.. Please do not ask why I want to do that, I'll explain it later. Just tell me if it will explode because of heat.
alright, so here's my explanation. I have a suspension light and I suspect it is one of my shocks are gone. I have a spare 430 shock, but i am so lazy to replace it and see if the shock is really the issue. so I put the shock inside the engine bay and secured it, plug the connector with the one inside the engine bay, off I go. LOL
