Tyres, tyres, tyres.
LH was superb - Driver of the day Perez - co driver of the day Losers - Racing Point and Lance - Not sure how they didnt have 2 cars in the points. Lance car changed after his last stop and they are releasing their BEST DRIVER! Stupid. Losers - RedBull were no where overall. Poor driving by Max, and Albon was..........there but did not to me show he is worth retaining! Mclaren were so strong mid race to finish!! Patience pays for Seb and Charles does a Max........a bit greedy. One of the best races in the season.
Anyone who continues to say “its all because of the car...” is out of his/her mind. Today was the Drive of the a 7-time WORLD CHAMPION. The other “best” car didn’t even finish in the points. I was there in person at Montreal 2007 and watching again today. This guy again proved his worth in the history books. We are Witness. Really appreciate the exchange between Vettel and Hamilton. Vettel gets it.
For what? He was so much slower on inters than Leclerc. The podium was kind of a gift; Charles went for P2 and lost out on the move this time, but atleast he tried it.
My annual visit to this dark section of fchat. Just to say well done 7 times world champion Lewis Hamilton See you next year for number 8
Agree'd but this is a result he should have been providing given his experience and titles etc. I dont see this as redemption. His podium was luck and yes he waited and was in position to take advantage of the mistake. He drove well but he has not done much for Ferrari this year until today. Contrast to Perez. He gets the results and has literally no drive waiting...............Personally Id take Perez over Seb.
Please join more here. We love F1 and we love Ferrari. It is all good to share our feelings for this sport.
Awesome performance by Hamilton. Also Perez. Tyre management. Congrats to Vettel on getting 3rd. Also, Stroll. Up until that poor strategy call (listen to your team ffs). I mean, he got pole in those conditions and had a solid lead up until pitting. Then his performance dropped off, guess he just couldn'tfind that flow again. Would have loved to see him win this Edit to add: what was up with Bottas? Really underperformed today, showing that having the overall best car on the grid doesn't help if your driving isn't up there to match it. Something wrong with his car or just an inability to be competitive in this car in this weather?
Well done to Lewis, awesome champions drive. Well done Seb and Checo. Charles, Unlucky but spirit of a racer. Great improvement from SF, hard work paying off.
Happy to see this back at Ferrari. WE have not had that for years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Charles! Inspire more for Ferrari!
You forgot to mention Sainz. Started from 15th place ending in 5th. LH drove a decent race, in the final third that is. Before that he didn't do anything special. He had a good start but fell back soon after due to a mistake, subsequently couldn't get past Vettel (where Albon and Max could) or anyone else in front of him. He only overtook one car all race. LH got in front at the right time partly thanks to mistakes from Max, Albon and Stroll and had free air from there on.
Mate I am an f1 fan of 40 years and a brit to. I used to post on here but it's the nastiest section on fchat. I dont want or need it. But thank you.
the difference in tyre performance was HUGE in those laps. I was amazed Red Bull didn't pit Max at the same time.
