It's already September and we still have no preliminary schedule for next year. I found some announcements by Liberty saying it will come out soon. That was at the beginning of August.

I'd love to start my 2021 travel planning, but without dates, that's not gonna work. So as I started digging I found a) no official word about Monaco (!) yet and b) the Dutch are already talking about moving their race date from May to the fall in case the pandemic continues.

Which of course then made me realize that's why they have not released a preliminary schedule yet. There is obviously still concern we might be seeing more races without audience next year ?!?

Anyway, not trying to start another Wuhan thread, just wondering/hoping some on here might have more information about the calendar for next year. And/or post that as soon as they learn about it.

    Thanks.

We still don't know when the pandemic will allow crowds at race track next year, either.

I would bet against Monaco taking place.

Mugello looks like a test for a reduced form of live audience.

To be honest I preferred this years calendar, though I realise there has to be a return to normal...
But, that said , Brazil OUT and Saudi Arabia IN ?
    **** off Liberty.
Also Abu Dhabi need to improve their track, or build a new track or drop out.
A season finale in a car park? Double bad this year and should not happen again.

I love this year's calendar for the new venues and for the compactness of it all, but as you said normalcy needs to return for the teams as well.

I believe Brazil is missing just temporarily because of the competing situation between Interlagos and Rio. Maybe it will come back with a Rio GP in 2022.

Abu Dhabi? I think that track is pretty cool. Visually always spectacular with the yachts, the Ferrari theme park, the setting sun etc. I'm fine with that. Lets see what Saudi Arabia can put together.

Abu Dhabi is horrible drivers hate it, super bland track that never gives a good race, they have all the money in the world so could easily do a partial redraw to make it challenging. I think it was Mark Webber who after doing a few laps at Mugello when F1 tested there a few years ago said that was worth 1000 Abu Dhabi laps. Enough said.

No, real race track. Layout looks cool. But many on here believe it is a pipe dream. We'll see.

My comment was meant to be sarcastic. ;) No, we won't see anything, this track will never happen.

I guess that’s the price of the ARAMCO sponsorship we have been seeing on TV this year.
45 Celsius air temps? I expect even the public executions take a break in August ?

I just hope that is a calendar error. Much of the middle east is unlivable in high summer which is why a lot of its wealthy residents flee to Geneva, London the south of France during the summer.

One other thing; notice also that the traditional month long summer break for crews is cancelled...that means teams will have to rotate crews....

Thanks for that. Just booked my Montreal and Austin hotels. Would prefer the Canadian GP but not sure we'll be out of Covid by then. COTA is the hedge.

The Vietnamese GP has been dropped from the 2021 schedule.

The move has been triggered by the arrest on corruption charges of a key official responsible for the race in Hanoi.

F1 will need to find a replacement-->Turkey, Imola, or Portimao.

Bummer. They look the other way when it comes to Shanghai, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi and next year Saudi Arabia. So why certainly so much PCness when it comes to Vietnam?

If nothing else I would have loved to see at least one Vietnam GP. It's always interesting to see a new venue.
