Worse case is engine rebuild. We've all seen melted/cracked oem headers so they certainly can fail. Would guess less likely with high flow cats or cat delete but who knows.
That is exactly why I had mine built. It is amazing though that this is one of the only cars that I have replaced my headers when nothing was wrong with them.
Ok. So I decided to do some more digging. I might have found the source Larini uses for their Inconel shielding. My guess is they are either sending parts out to Thermo Met to get wrapped or they are buying material from them and doing it themselves. The material looks identical. The workmanship is eerily similar and I’ve seen enough of these by now. Thermo Met is also in the UK . https://www.thermomet.co.uk/ They offer SS, Inconel, and Titanium shields. They have a Facebook and Instagram page where you can check out more of their work. Their work is very clean. I’ve seen some sloppy shielding out there. Their work screams quality. What do you guys think? Do we have a match? Here’s Novitec’s 458 Inconel shielded manifolds for comparison, which will only cost you $19,820. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The shielding looks the same to me or close enough where it isn’t noticeable. Nice find. That shielding looks very nice.
@ttforcefed I know today (or this week) is a busy day in the finance world but check out my post #283 when you have time. Then I'll text you more important info.
Personally, I don’t care if Larini does the work themselves or outsources it. As long as the final result is as promised. I’m actually very happy with Thermo Met doing the work because it appears to be high quality. I’ll text you about a slightly different matter.
They said they will be shipping my muffler and Y-pipe. Headers will need a bit more time, which is fine because I won’t have time to put it in until next month anyways.
