One of the first things I did when I got my Mondial was to change the steering wheel to a wooden one. I've always love the classic Nardi wooden wheels from the past. It just screams elegance, sophistication, and sex appeal. The bigger diameter is also a plus in a car with no power steering and I'm over the moon in love with my layout.

Lets see your Steering Wheel if you mod it !

    Hi Mikey,

It's a Challenge wheel that I got quite some time ago, from Daniel @ RICAMBI. And yes, it's Alcantara.

    Cheers,

    Hank

And I would imagine you can now actually see your speedo and tach?

So true....with the stock steering wheel it's a guess what those gauges read.

At least the important gauges (oil, water, oil temp and fuel) are visible :)

YES, much more visible... not to mention better leverage all around, especially from standing.

    Cheers

I would like to have a larger 15" wood wheel for my Mondial, but paying $1500+ is beyond my means.

Does anyone know if a Nardi wood wheel marked 63370/68853W33 fit my 1988 3.2 Mondial?

Are there any other, less expensive 15" wood steering wheel options for my car?

    Hi Alden,
It will fit but you will need a momo to Nardi wheel hub adaptor to make it fit.
I think I paid $400 for Nardi Classic + hub adaptor $100 + Ferrari big horn center $450. This was 4 years ago. Nardi wooden wheels are the best out there, I wouldn't go with a lesser brand and keep your oem incase resell.

13.5 inch Momo for me. A little tough in a parking lot but the Italian's obviously did not have big feet, big butt's or big bellies. There is no graceful way for me to enter or exit the vehicle. But when I am in it is the coolest thing I have owned.

Mike in your first post what exactly is the red convertible, the cheese graters under the rear window are really throwing me off.

Are those seats original with Daytona inserts? I have questioned doing something similar to my 3.2. I love the look of those seat inserts.
