Greetings, I'm still searching for an iPhone mount for my 1988 Testarossa that works gently with the interior, without clipping to the delicate vent fins. Does anyone have any suggestions? Sometimes I prop the phone on the 'shelf' below the vents, but acceleration makes the phone fall off, onto the floor.
I put mine in the door handle plastic cup. It secures the phone nicely, but the screen isn’t visible.
Thanks for replying. I'm trying to find a solution where I can see the screen, for navigation and music control.
In that case, buy a suction cup mount and place it on the windshield. Or, you can place it on a mount inside the radio cubby.
I can't help you out for Testarossa, but for you 512 tr guys, I have a great solution! I bought a short cup holder phone mount, removed the center vent louver in the dash and inserted it into my dash. Works awesome! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I take the coin holder located at the front of the console out. My phone leans in there there perfectly. Covers the fuel gauge but I never run low.
So taking out the center vent, blocking it and virtually blocking the third vent flow to your face is really cool? In what way? Am I missing something?
I have plenty of cool in my 512 with r12 Freon. I could put it in the far right vent also, but so far not a problem in sunny AZ.
However, if it works for you then it is your car. Mine seems to need all its vents to keep it nice and cool and the system is new and is very cold.
The volume of air is similar, but at a higher velocity! Worst case scenario, it forces more air on to my feet. Try it just for kick and giggles!!
