I'm going to tackle this today or tomorrow. Anyone have any tips, beside removing the side engine panels?
It looks like I need to get on a step ladder and stand on the frame rails in the engine compartment to get to the front plugs.
Anything else I should know? I've got the stubby rachet.
It's a 2009 F430 with 14,000 miles. As far as I know, the plugs have never been changed.

Yes.....buy the plugs and grease from O'Reilly and have them Price match Rock Auto at about $10 each instead of $20 Its an easy job but go very slow and DO NOT over tighten them. Cheers !!!

If it is anything like the 360, and I think it is accessibility wise, then it's a half hour job at the most.

Before removing panels ..put tape on edge of body so you don't mess up paint .. also the struts have to be uncoupled to remove panel .. need to use a mop stick or something similar to hold up hatch

I was able to get to all plugs (after removing engine bay panels) by using a single step harbor freight stool and leaning over the rear quarter panels. I used some large microfiber towels to protect the paint. Worked well. I do have long arms and I’m 6’ so that might make a difference.

What PN/brand does everyone recommend? Seems Champion, Bosch, NGK all show up in a search.

Odd that some of amazon buyers had the threads rip off or the plugs shoot out of the engine. Fake plugs for those reviews?

I just finished installing them. It took me longer to remove and replace the engine panels than it did the plugs. Of course when I was tightening the last plug, I dropped the stubby ratchet onto the bottom panel. Had to remove 4 screws off the bottom panel corner, and fish it out with a magnetic wand.

The plugs all looked great and were still gapped properly. I only changed them because I didn't have any service record of them being changed and them being in there for 12 years made me nervous.

The coils came out easy, it’s a 2009 so they just pull out. I sprayed a little WD40 inside the tube where the coil slides into. They slid back in easily and clicked onto the top of the spark plug.

Which method did you use, stand on engine rails or lean over the rear fenders?

I was able to reach over the rear fenders. It was a stretch to get to the front plugs on both sides.

They do look dark in the pic. I’ll pull them out of the boxes and look at them again.

PM me if you have any questions on replacing the spark plugs.

Try to find an Allen wrench on a socket that fits the engine panel screws. I used a regular Allen wrench and it took forever getting the screws out and back in.

Its actually pretty easy to lighthty lean over the fender and do it that way. Done my plugs in my 360 and its very easy that way.
