ha, no doubt! the videos where they go exploring is so creepy, I'm not too claustrophobic, but kind of like I'm afraid of heights for falling, I'm afraid of mine exploring for getting trapped.

That's an awesome story. I remember coming across it last year and thinking what a cool endeavor it was. I definitely want to visit and check it out next time I'm out that way.

I pinged him about the mobile hotspot he uses, the Netgear Nighthawk, and about WeBoost phone boosters. Where he is has pretty lame bandwidth but it can be more reliable. I mentioned to him that with that hotspot he can use Arlo wireless cameras to live stream the town if people wanted to watch the sunrise/sunset.

I bought a run down gold mine a couple of years ago. Me and a number of other guys, all a little drunk, where having dinner in Denver after the yearly mineral and gem show. On eof the guys called over a buddy. Turned out he had the rights to a bunch of old, closed down gold mines in Colorado. So we all decided to but an equal share in one of them.
Wound up buying into a little, old, closed mine located in Idaho Springs, Co. Was a pretty famous gold mine area turn of the century.
When I finally drove ut to the site I discovered the following:

The mine was a small horizontal shaft in the side of the hill. Closed off, lots of rubble (tailings) that covered-blocked the entrance. To open it would take a bit of money, and then a bunch of work making it safe. And the chnance of hitting a gold vein is about nill.

But at least I have a pretty cool mine ownership document.

Ok, so some are saying this is a grift, just have not figured out the angle just yet. I do have thoughts about his name not being on the land deed, the possibly uninhabitable hotel that burned down he would have had insurance on, then got free labor and a gofundme, It's a fun mental exercise.
