As announced in the Eifel GP thread: Mick will be racing for Alfa next year!

That went faster than I expected. Good for him. Congratulations!

He is driving very well right now. Atop the F2 standings. Here's to him closing out the season in strong fashion and continuing to improve his craft in F1.

I'm happy for Mick. He's really humble in interviews, and evidently very well brought up by Michael and Corinna.

Wonder where's all the haters now :p

I wasn't a fan of his as he was heralded the next great king of F1 when in reality he was progressing slowly through the lower echelons. Even at the beginning of this year his career looked not very promising. Then suddenly he must have found the switch and now we are looking at a very decent prospect. So I'm happy for him. I like having names of former greats be part of the grid again. Loved it when Villeneuve joined as well when we had Piquet.

I just hope Mick is more of the Jacques kind than of the Piquet Jr. group.

He lived close to Geneva all his life, I don't see the surprise.

Today AUTOCAR links Mick Schumacher with Haas from 2021.

Giovinazzi would stay put at Alfa Romeo, apparently.

Quite possible. All in the Ferrari family and it seems like both teams are reasonably similar bets. Fingers crossed!

Gio stepped his game up last few races after the threat of his seat going became very real.

Myself I'm not convinced that 2 rookies at Haas is the way forward. For sure their current line up wasn't working, and they're among the slowest now so they don't have much to lose right now, but 2 inexperienced drivers is not smart when during crazy races decent points can be had...

Surely mick at Sauber and Mazepin at Haas with Gio would be smarter for everyone involved?

Would love to see him stand in for Poor Romain but probably wishful thinking....he looks good to finish on top of the points though. Go Mick!
