Not with a Boxer in there, right? No official imports of those.

It is a mix of US and Euro cars. Probably outside the factory in Italy.

No passenger side mirrors, just like I remember

Most have them on now from a previous owner. I think it was a dealer only option, like the radio was.

The Mondial in the picture is RHD and single external rear view mirror. That dates the picture to 1980.

The 308's are USA Spec with TRX Wheels so mid/late 1980?

. The picture is from the from the factory holding hard.

Completed cars ready to export for dealer delivery are those with the white polystrene foam around the wheelarches which was the "last step" before loading onto transporters for delivery.

No, there's a mix of USA and rest of world 308s - look at the red 308 in front of the red BB - small round front fender indicator, no rear fender reflector, Euro vents on engine cover. Not US-spec.

Obviously a RHD Mondial is NOT USA Spec, to clarify I meant the majority of the 308's in the pic are USA Spec with TRX wheels and Metric tyres.

The earliest USA Spec 3082v injected ran 14' wheels and Michelin XWX tyres.....the change occured mid/late 1980 so the pic is from 1980!

Blue GTB appears to also be a euro example. Has euro front bumper and indicator lights like the red GTS in front of the BB.

    Alberto,

Just curious as to why you date the photo to early 1981?

    Im wondering the same thing.

The 308's are clearly injected, not to mention the presence of the Mondials so 1980 is the earliest it can be.

If it were late 82 you would expect to see a few QV's.

So I have no idea how it can be definitively nailed down specifically to early 81.

Mondial deliveries started in December 1980: only 21 units of Mondial 8 were produced in 1980. This is a fact, so it can't be November 1980 or before.
There is not a single 208 turbo (production started in April 1982) so the correct date can go from December 1980 to March 1982.

Among the cars there is not my last but one blu sera euro drysump, that was produced on December 1980 (yes, it could be hidden somewhere, but we are only talking about what we see).

I can be wrong, but I live in this area and looking at the light/shadow I can say it can't be from May to Semptember. There is not moisture inside the car glasses so it cant' be January or February.

There are a lot of TRX on USA cars so in my opinion it's more likely 1981 than 1982.

    So:
most probable: March 1981 (or very close)
a bit less probable: October 1981 (or very colose)
much less probable: March 1982 (or very close)

and also the single mirror of the injected euro 308 makes me think about early 1981
