Isn't that the only way you are allowed to order burgers up north? I miss fatburger (there was one literally across the street from my Freshman dorm at USC). One of my dorm-mates ended up buying the chain later in life (but that is a story for another place).
About 25 years ago Health Canada put out guidelines on cooking hamburgers well done. Restaurants think its illegal, but they are only guidelines. A few restaurants will do medium rare, but not many............................... Fatburger is my second favorite chain. Bonus (although I'm not drinking) they have a liquor license here.
It was a cold and rainy day here in indy today so it was Pho again for lunch. I've got reservations for sushi tonight.. Will share pics of that later. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Man, wish I had the patience of an old Vietnamese woman to make Pho broth! It's getting close to the soup prime time of the year here. Upper 90s last few days, to highs in the 70s next week or so...T
What a bunch of Nervous Nellies up there. You'd think that if eating poutin and donuts didn't kill y'all, a little undercooked beef wouldn't be much of a worry. Is steak tartare illegal in the Great White North?!? T
I couldn't agree more. It's all about the broth. I wish I had the patience. Good Pho can heal the soul...and a ferocious hangover
Found this on Amazon. Image Unavailable, Please Login Seems kinda wrong. I know my grandma woulda whacked me upside the head with her big wooden spoon if I used a bouillon cube to make soup! T
A black snake then dinner. This guy/gal looked thru the screen door as we ate lunch. Third one around the house this week. I don’t like snakes. Neither does the wife. Each one got a long walk away from the house, this one got a really long walk away in a bucket. Image Unavailable, Please Login Baked chops, apples, asparagus, and some pots. Awesome. What the heck?!? If I saw something like that in my backyard, I'd grab the dog and run away like a frightened puppy! Unless, of course, they eat squirrels, then they're welcome to stay! Mmm. Chop master is in the house! Image Unavailable, Please Login Kroger T-bones last night. Image Unavailable, Please Login Pizza tonight. The missus authorized one of the pies could have spicy stuff on it. Woo hoo! Calabrian peppers and crushed red pepper on this one. With the weather cooling off, it's time to cook in mass quantities, and try not to eat in mass quantities. T
Probably all the chipmunks we have around. We’d rather have chipmunks than snakes! Barely. Little bastards. But if the snakes stayed hidden and took care of them that’d be fine with us. Wife is starting to think WTH!? Your pizza looks tasty.
I took my brother to Costco, he doesn't have a card. After we took Bella to Petsmart for play time with other dogs. They have a large pen for small dogs inside the store, its good socialization. Even though I had a McChicken for lunch, a McDonalds is in the same mall. So we got Big Mac combos for dinner. I was hungry, ended up getting chicken nuggets too. I'll do the T-bone tonight.
That's good for Bella. We never socialized the Princess when she was younger. As a result, she thinks she's a human, and really has no manners on the rare occasion when she is with other dogs. Fortunately, our sitter's other dogs seem happy to acquiesce to her leader of the pack mentality...T
Its important when she will be around 100 when fully grown. Plus she is going to be living with another dog, when she is bigger. I'm also getting her enjoying car rides, makes vet trips easier.
Run of the mill giant black snake... generally harmless. Unless you stumble on one and freak. Yeah, I know that feeling! So glad I got one of these. So much easier than a shovel or rake. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DYHVARS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
