Mike, 8 straight posts, how many cups of coffee did you have this morning?! I agree with you on Garoppolo. Many Pats fans did not want him traded. I wasn't very high on him and thought we were better off with Brady. Now some idiots here are speculating that the Pats will let Cam go after the season and trade for Jimmy G. Oh the horrors.
They don't need to let Cam go, but they do need to find a QB for the future, AND a TE - AND a WR cuz I am not buying any of the ones they currently have. every team doing well has a go-to WR - except NE. (I consider Edelman a slot guy, not a 'WR' in the same vein as a Ridley, AJ Brown, Keenan, Thomas, Devante, Golliday, D.K., you get the drift)
I think Garoppolo is a decent back-up, but I don't like him to lead a team to a Superbowl. He is too injury prone for my liking. He had his chance to make a name for himself in the Superbowl last year, and he couldn't deliver. He had Kittle wide open on a few critical 3rd down plays and didn't even see him, instead of going to the guaranteed first down he tried for the homerun. Funny, the "experts" used to say that Kaepernick could not get to his 2nd and 3rd read, but nobody says a word about Jimmy G who the same if not worse issue. PLEASE TAKE JIMMY, then maybe we can get a real QB. Oh yeah, letting Cam go for Jimmy would be a HUGE mistake, and I know Belichick is smarter than that. Cam is 100x the QB Jimmy is.
Eagles: Jeffrey: not one snap this year. Reagor: not one snap this year. That punk DeSean: maybe 20 snaps. Their starting WR receiver the last 2 games (WARD) was on the practice squad when the season began. At the start of the Steelers game, the three WRs that suited up for the Eagles had a GRAND TOTAL of 64 NFL receptions. That's career totals, not for the year.
If Teddy B and Alex Smith can come back, Dak can. Whether he'll be the same, that remains to be seen, of course...T
What I find very odd is another Cowboy had the same type of injury 2 years ago. He came back but Dallas never used him much, and he retired.
They need to just cut Alshon and take the loss, because like AJ Green, he's done. When a skill position player is done, he's DONE. Look at all the ones that tried to play past their prime: Wesley Welker, Jodie Nelson, Ocho, Emmitt Smith, Clinton Portis, LeSean McCoy, probably Leveon Bell, I can dig up a lot of names, most of them escape me at the moment.
well, they could have a cleared roster space if they had put him on IR or PUP. Same with that punk Jackson. Reagor, their first round pick also hurt all year. They will have exactly ONE first string offensive lineman start against Ravens, who have ONE guy on the injury list for tomorrow's game, while you could arguably field a decent division contender from the guys the Iggs have hurt.
They played a perfect game. Not a single penalty on defense...complete 180 from the Bears TNF game. If they can keep it up they can play the Super Bowl at home!
Boys got bigger issues thus far. They're pathetic. Murray is a local boy, so that's a small positive...T
So it appears the Cowboys will drop to 2-4, but still be in first place! Jerry Jones must be very glad that the "NFC Least" is such a terrible division this year!
It is rather amazing that even the Giants and WFT have a perfectly reasonable chance to win this crazy-bad division.
I think McCarthy might have been a bad hire. He doesn't appear to have assistant coaches that can teach very well, or, the majority of players have IQ's less than 75... they are an undisciplined train wreck on defense.
That was pretty embarrassing effort by the Cowboys last night. It is hard to believe this was a highly vaunted D just a few short years ago. Ever since they tied all that dough up in Lawrence, everything has more or less degenerated from mediocrity to complete ineptitude...T
I've noticed Aaron Rogers has been showing up on McAfee's podcast, finally gave this one to listen. Not a side you get to see normally.
Dallas fan goes nuts! Watch this video half way down until the end. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/cowboys-fan-shoots-tv-after-loss-to-cardinals
This is why I stream the games on my iPhone. Keeps me from shooting it! They are a total s**t show this year. Players already carping about coach behind the scenes. Lord help us if any team in the NFC East puts it together, and we're also out of the playoffs. This D is a total nightmare. T
