    Thanks for posting.
    My dad was a mechanic before he joined the PD. So was grandpa. My mom used to walk past my dad's shop otw to my grandfather's, and here I am.

    Dad had me handing him wrenches under the car when I was 3 or so...

    Dallas Texas. My neighbor was an advertising rep, and had Amalie PRO Racing Oil as a client. He got to use a new '67 GT 500 for 2 weeks once, and took me 2 years in a row to Green Valley Raceway to see the Trans Am cars race. Met Gurney in the pits, and he won later that day, beating Parnelli Jones by the smallest margin in Trans Am history, both driving Team Cougars.

    From those days to drag racing at Green Valley and Dallas International Motor Speedway, and 50 years later still a gearhead. Here are some pics from the 60's.
