So let’s say you decide to retire and downsize from your massive home and your 6 car garage and get a beachside place overlooking the ocean. You only have a 2 car garage in the home. You wife is going to keep her suv and you have to decide what car to get. This will serve as a daily driver, grocery getter, golf club hauler, Home Depot run vehicle- essentially it will have to serve all purposes.

So what car do you get? Assume no limits on finances so if you wanted your one car to be a La Ferrari so be it. What is the most practical yet exotic, fun to drive daily use car out there?

There is a reason I ask this as I’m contemplating a career/lifestyle change where making more money isn’t the primary goal- quality of life is...

I vote Porsche Boxter. Fun to drive, reliable, convertible and not a problem to get a set of golf clubs in the trunk.

Would your rules allow me to maintain an ‘arrive and drive’ track car offsite? Something along the lines of Sick Sideways or Zotz Racing? Have them store and maintain the car, and meet you at the track fueled and ready with trackside support? That’s probably going to be my next step - convert one of the cars to a full time toy in order to free up a garage bay.

(But let’s be real. I’ll fill it again in no time.)

Speciale A. Plenty of room in the trunk for groceries. Topless option. Golf clubs slide in the passenger seat and footwell easily. Easy ingress and egress. Interchangeable option for the Pista Spider but I like the A because it is a numbered car.

Second choice would be the F12 TDF. A great, great car. More trunk space. Nimble, just not as nimble or topless as the Spec A.

It would be something in the antipodes of the wife's SUV... Cabrio, fast, light, classic beauty, V12 (I like endangered species) and special and utterly special. F50.

Life is short. I could use the e-bicycle for that quick trip to the pharmacy or Walmart.

The wife is a Texan and would insist on a pickup truck. For me, the Cali edges the 911 by a nose due to the ability to go topless when desired and better service at F vs P dealer...T

Does it all with ease, and a fun driver to boot.
Plenty of space for groceries, bags, etc.
    4 seats in a pinch
    AWD for bad weather
Relatively smaller size so easy to park and navigate tighter streets.
Priced so you don't need to worry about rogue grocery carts and student drivers.

Fun to think about ... First thought was F50, but no, a 812 / GTS would get the nod ...
