If you can get under a minute at LRP it means you are moving.

You can get under a minute in a Lotus - it just takes a little more than the GTR!

Thanks for the compliment. I got down to a 2:19.5 at Sebring at the end of January, which is the only track time I have had this year.

This is my car at Sebring:

We've got us in the GT4, some well run and fast Porsche cup cars, a few crazy E46's....lets put it this way, the 99 GTR car at road Atlanta, which had previously a been att the top of group 5, qualified and raced in group 4. Our E46, which won RA last year, would not have qualified in 5 either....

    Maybe Summit Point? Mid O?

Got the 458C out for a little Sunday drive this weekend, first time at Summit Point. 1:14.17. Honestly don’t have any idea if that’s good for that car or not.

I've instructed for 15 years on that track, professional and club level. Your exit speed out T10 is stellar and shows the true brutish artistry of the 458C. Lap times are excellent in my opinion, well executed and consistent. I like a slightly later apex at T3, so as to avoid a second setting input at the crest near the corner worker. I place my driver rear tire parallel with he last two striped curbs on the left as I pass through there. Drop off on the right is no joke, so it's safer to be more conservative but you've got some play. Love your full use of T1/T2. Love the dance through the carousel. Lovely ride along on an old familiar classic.

Thanks Cassidy, I appreciate the input. I will definitely try a later apex at T3 next time. BTW, if you are who I think you are, we know each other from Hooked on Driving...I drover a yellow (then black) Lotus cup car....I believe you are the gentlemen with the awesome motor home and a corvette.....

Indeed, Ron! I think we shared some tequila flights track side... Years ago at NJMP and more recently at WGI, if I recall. Good to virtually see you. Finally got into a TR that I was after, of course not for track duty. Sorry to run this thread off the rails, now back on 'track'.

Been tracking and racing GT4 Clubsports the last few years, but this past week I decided to try something new, and at a bucket list track I had never been to before. I'm racing there next year so I wanted to get familiar with it. Probably the most fun car I have ever driven on track, other than losing my hearing. :) Still working up the courage/confidence to stay flat out through some turns and to get on the throttle sooner without fear of turning my ass around, especially on street tires, but I was happy with where I got to on my first try. Most of all, I had so much fun!

    2017 Lotus exige v6.

For sure the driver/me was the handicap I know Im overbraking multiple places esp the bustop at wgi. In my mind I can see where the car would be 2 secs faster. Im also hitting the rev limiter in 4th by turn 3, not sure a 4th to 5th shift is feasible between turn2-3. Also going down to 3rd for turn 1. I'm thinking that done better turn 1 can be done in 4th maybe saving the shift will help and then 4-5 after 2 before 3. Basicaly everywhere else gotta brake less.

Most fun on track was LRP in my stock NA elise on 888Rs. Drove it to the track, had a fun day and drove home, haden't been to that track since 15. Probably the first time I felt I was begining to master LRP and "got it", started there in 05. Someone let me drive his Mac 570 Gt4 there, the elise was more fun.

Best lap at Magny-Cours with my 135 hp Caterham: 2mn09, the best drivers with the same car were at 2mn02 that day.
Below a small clip, it's not racing, just some fun with Peugeot 208 Racing Cup - they are slighly more powerful (140 hp) but a lot heavier (900 kg vs 550 kg for the Caterham); the Caterham that overtakes me at a far higher speed is a 420R.

Here is the interesting tracking video it got 25K views in two days. Probably because it bested several GT3RS good drivers and also a track only McLaren. Also got picked up in Italy, I wonder if they know where Oregon is lol

And here is the 1:50.2 record track run for a modded production sedan on street tires:

And here taking it easy with with a Ferrari driver that is learning:
