Long story, I ordered one for a Uniden R3 in Dec 2017. It shipped in Feb 2018. I just got around to installing it in Sept 2018. Turns out that it doesn’t fit. I reached out to Blendmount and they told me to send it back for a complete refund because they do not make one that fits the F12. I have one in my Performante and I really like it. My question is this: has anyone been able to make any Blendmount radar detector mount work in their F12? Thanks.

Perfect timing for you to bring this up! I avoided the initial backlogging and finally bought a R3 last week to replace my 2-years old dated Redline. Got the R3 within 3 days. Anyway, I was looking at Blendmount last week. Now I'm glad I didn't order it because I assume FF's rear view mirror is similar. Are you currently using the 2-suctions Uniden mount? I'm surprised that Uniden's 1-suction mount is designed to fit the windshield rake of a SUV or truck. Are there other available mount out there?

BTW, new R3 firmware 1.46 just came out last week.

So I am using the 2-suction Uniden mount on the passenger side of the mirror. It works fine. I do think I would prefer a Blendmount for several reasons: 1). You wouldn’t see the suctions on the windshield from outside the car, 2). Easier to see from the driving position, 3). More of a custom looking install. I hope someone on F-Chat can point us in the right direction. Also, I had my dealer wire it to my rearview mirror and that works great.

I tapped the fuse box on driver's side and have the powering wire run up the a pillar. That works great except the wire occasionally doesn't stay put in the groove on the a-pillar and the roof area. I don't mind the 2-suction Uniden mount and actually would prefer that over the bulky 1-suction mount. However, time will tell if 2-suction mount is able to withstand extreme heat and cold. As in the past, I have temporarily tied a string unto the mount and loop it around the sun visor's hinge, so the whole unit will just dangle if it falls off, until the 2-suction mount has some "track-record" of securely staying on the windshield. I am a minimalist type of person so I'm having second thought about Blendmount type of mounts because it still looks somewhat bulky from the side. So I am considering the following, and might go with it once I have found out if the 3M VHB tape can be cleanly removed from the windshield with some types of liquid and razor:

I know, the mount on the glass can be seen from the outside, but it's as minimal as it can possibly be.

I used the standard Blendmount that I had on my Speciale without any issue. Simply rotated the clamp and purchased longer screws to create more space. It’s very secure( have an Escort Redline 360)
