I’m new to the F355. The first many starts went just fine but now when it starts (cold start) it goes into low idle and really wants to stall out. The idle is approx 500 rpm and sometimes if I attempt to give it just a little throttle it dies. Other times if I can give it throttle I can get it warmed up enough to idle properly. There’s also a heavy fuel smell as it warms up. Is any of this normal? Any other experiences like this? Thank you all!

There are probably quite a few message threads on this issue .. e.g.

    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/low-idle-dogging-at-cold-start.468521/

What year car do you have? Does it have a Motronics 2.7 or 5.2? (i.e. the 2.7 car has two engine Motronics ECUs, two MAFs, two SLOW DOWN and CHECK ENGINE lights, etc)

Is the Check Engine light illuminated? Is the Check Engine light working (i.e. does it illuminate on startup as it should?)
Can you tell if one exhaust bank is hotter than the other?

Since this is only your second post, perhaps you could introduce yourself (and fill out your profile page so we can better help you)
