Kershaw;s record up there with some of the greats -- all as a Dodger. Will he ever win a World Series? Maybe this year... Right now the Dodgers are winning 3/4's of their games for the season. https://www.mlb.com/news/clayton-kershaw-2-500-strikeouts
The Dodgers now officially win 3 out of 4 games they play and have a +102 in runs over 40 games -- double anyone else in the entire league. They have an equal road to home record at 15-5 which is pretty amazing in itself. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Right now, I would have trouble believing that anyone aside from the Dodgers is likely to win the Series.
Game 2 of Dodgers vs Padres was one epic game. I was sure the Padres would win in the 9th. Nail biting time the entire game.
Dodgers blow out the Padres to win the NLDS. So far the Dodgers have played 5 games in the post season, won all 5 and have only trailed in TWO INNINGS the entire time.
R.I.P. Whitey Ford. My regret is that I did not get to start watching baseball on TV until he was in the twilight of his great career.
Agree... its going to be an epic battle who gets into the Series. San Diego were no slouches. It was not easy to take them down in 3.
yankees just do not have what it takes in the post season to get job done. not sure what they can do about it either. regardless, mlb did a much better job putting on show than nba. the finals seems like a summer league olympic warm up type event played in a high school gym. baseball looks same now as it always does.
No Yankees / Dodgers WS this year. I think a lot of people were hoping it would happen. Still the Dodgers have to get past Atlanta to get into the final series. There are some really good teams this year. Winning the WS will not be easy. This might be the most difficult world series to win ever given how fresh the teams are and a lack of home field advantage.
The Dodger weakness is revealed -- relief pitching. If you can get within one or 2 runs of the Dodgers by the 9th inning, you still have a good chance to win. The Dodgers have to out hit their relief pitching. If they can't, Atlanta will go to the World Series. The pressure is on Kershaw now.
